Fresh from our friends at the FCS out west is this Fender Custom Shop '59 250k Jazzmaster Relic complete with an epic, yet tasteful relic job on gorgeous Aged Taos Turquoise. Vintage vibe and played-in aesthetics for days with a couple modern tweaks for even better playability.

The Fender Custom Shop '59 250k Jazzmaster Relic starts with a vintage spec 2-piece alder body that has been sorted for light weight—a godsend for long playing sessions in the studio or on the stage. This classic offset silhouette is then dressed in a killer Aged Taos Turquoise lacquer and gussied up with some chips, dings, buckle rash, and playwear throughout. The classic, vintage-style floating trem system is paired with the powerfully upgraded RSD bridge for less buzz and better intonation.

The neck is rock-solid, rift sawn maple with a hyper-smooth unfinished neck back—not standard on this relic level, but wholly welcomed. It is capped with a AAA slab rosewood fretboard with vintage clay dots to guide your way. The board is decked out with 21 fan-favorite Narrow Tall (6105) frets that are a bit taller than your standard vintage frets for an additional touch of modern playability. Sporting a '62 Jazzmaster profile, the neck measures .820" deep at the first fret and .900" at the 12th.

The sonic engine driving this Jazzmaster is also something special. Two hand-wound Jazzmaster flat magnet pickups—voiced for their respective bridge and neck positions—wired with 250k pots keep the Jazzmaster bark and clarity without as much top end bite. Smooth highs, present mids, and a nice solid low end are all present and accounted for. Some relic'ing across the hardware and mellow aging on the plastics complete this visual feast for the eyes.

With proponents from My Bloody Valentine, Radiohead, Dinosaur Jr., Elvis Costello, and The Cure, it's no wonder the Jazzmaster fever has had such a resurgence in recent years. And the only prescription? This cool Fender Custom Shop '59 250k Jazzmaster Relic.

I’m so happy Tissot came out with this movement!
Beautiful classic beauty! I love watches with internal components that far outperform the price. A certified chronometer for 1100$? Unheard of. From a Watchmaker like Tissot? I couldn’t buy it fast enough! It has great accuracy and a very durable time tested movement. I can’t wait to own this watch for the rest of my life! Tissot, just keep putting this movement in more watches and I’ll keep buying them. (Seamaster or Submariner competitor please!)

It’s different colors in different light
Very high quality. It’s not a Rolex knock off , it’s a date just “style” just like the diver watches. They are not Rolex knock offs but in the same style. To be honest, I owned a blue date just brand new from the dealer and sold it because I could not read it ! I’m able to read this with its Roman numerals as opposed to the Rolex Baton style markets . It’s COSC CERTIFIED! I am just impressed with the blue version I own . Dial is beautiful.
