Kicking all of this off is a body formed from American basswood. This classic tonewood pick establishes itself with a natural and neutral sonic profile off which the rest of this musical experience can launch. Beveled and carved with precision, the deeply contoured basswood body is seamlessly slipped under the arm for easy travels across a stage. Extending out, a satin-finished roasted maple neck takes shape in an AZ Oval C profile. Smooth, seamless, and speedy, this neck is effortlessly played across a twenty-two-fret ebony fingerboard. Stainless steel Jumbo frets punctuate this ebony for a board that is open, precise, comfortable, and articulate.
Punching in with mountains of expressive tone, this Ibanez AZ Premium loads in three Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups – two single coils and one humbucker – for a massively versatile palette of amplified tonality. This pickup configuration aligns with a dyna-MIX9 switching system that opens the field even wider for an unprecedented selection of sounds to choose from when crafting your specialized tone.
Adding onto the body and neck's playability, this Ibanez features a number of fine hardware specifications to build upon the total experience. A Graph Tech nut and Gotoh MG-T locking tuning machines align with a Gotoh T1502 bridge at each end of the scale to ensure stability and sturdiness with strings. What's more, this Ibanez travels with an included gig bag to make for easy trips from stage to stage.
