沉香精油是透過蒸餾沉香屬植物的心材獲得的。沉香屬植物是一種開花樹，有多種品種，生長在柬埔寨、寮國、泰國、越南；菲律賓；以及印度東北部、緬甸、馬來西亞、蘇門答臘、婆羅洲。 為了應對真菌感染，樹木會透過產生油樹脂來攻擊受影響的木材，幾年後，油樹脂會變黑並具有濃鬱的芳香。油樹脂累積到一定程度，受感染木材的體積和密度會導致其沉入水中，因此日本人稱之為“沉木”，即“下沉的木頭”，中國則稱之為“沉香木”。 [6] 沉香木的主要商業用途是製香業，它是遠東最古老、最著名的香料之一。

Good finish, poor hardware.
Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly.
Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration.
Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.
