The Farm Pedals Limited 7th Anniversary Screams Octave Distortion fuses vintage-inspired analog octave up drive with dirt tones ranging from drive all the way to glitched-out fuzz textures. Designed and built in Maine in celebration of seven years of sonic experimentation, this limited-edition pedal is equal parts distortion, synth fuzz, and unpredictable chaos.
The Screams control is the heart of the circuit. To the left of noon, it delivers boosted analog octave tones reminiscent of classic octave-up effects—thick, harmonically rich, and touch-sensitive. Dial it past noon, and the signal morphs into a fractured, glitch-laden fuzz with synth-like modulation and instability. Paired with the input's dynamic sensitivity, changes in guitar or bass volume, pickup type, or playing technique can drastically transform the character of the effect, rewarding exploration and spontaneity.
This pedal responds best at the start of your signal chain, where it can interact directly with the raw pickup signal. While unconventional placement can yield more muted or filtered responses, this too can be used creatively. Housed in a hand-drilled and stamped enclosure with top-mounted jacks (input on the right, output on the left), the Screams Octave Distortion is as visually unique as it is sonically flexible.
