Black Walnut Block BW-411 2.4" x 2.4" x 8.2"Black Walnut Block BW 411 2. 4" x 2. 4" x 8. 2" 1. 2 lbs. This is a beautiful spindle of slightly spalted, Texas grown Black Walnut. It's about 60% heartwood, and the sapwood has the attractive patterns of slightly spalted Walnut. The heartwood has a few zones of spalting to a deep chocolate brown color. There are occasional black spalting lines that cross cut the wood grain. The grain on this block is rotated 90 degrees, such that the grain pattern

Black Walnut Block BW-411 2.4" x 2.4" x 8.2" 1.2 lbs. This is a beautiful spindle of slightly spalted, Texas-grown Black Walnut. It's about 60% heartwood, and the sapwood has the attractive patterns of slightly spalted Walnut. The heartwood has a few zones of spalting to a deep chocolate-brown color. There are occasional black spalting lines that cross-cut the wood grain. The grain on this block is rotated 90 degrees, such that the grain pattern is perpendicular to the long axis of the block. This is a nice, solid block of Texas-grown Black Walnut. It's been dried to 10-12% moisture content.
