Charity Stewart is a fused glass artist who specializes in floral glass designs. Greatly influenced by the beauty in nature and travels through Italy, her award winning work is a harmonious blend of contemporary style and ancient glassmaking techniques. Tucked away in her humble studio, tiny pieces of glass are intricately arranged and kiln formed multiple times resulting in unique floral artwork and colorful jewelry. Much of her work incorporates the use of millefiori, which is Italian for "1,000 flowers". This unique type of glassware consists of colored rods that are fused together then sliced to reveal beautiful flowerlike patterns. Each piece is carefully crafted to bring a touch of joy and light to you and your home. Recently Charity opened a brick and mortar location in the heart of Oregon wine country where she is able to continue production work, offer workshops and share the love of glass with the community.

Two practing poets share guidance and inspiration
Format: Paperback
Normally I'm suspicious about guides to writing poetry. The creation of a poem is such a personal and private affair, that I tend to despair of long distance help. Happily "The Poet's Companion" strikes such a balance between inspiration and craft that it's the next best thing to participating actively at an outstanding workshop. I benefitted from the poetic themes and supported exercises, feeling creatively rejuvenated by the authors' challenges. It seems to have no ideological axe's to grind-its only goal is to advance the poetic impulse from the brain to the page. I am truly grateful to have this book as it has aided in a personal liberation from a massive case of writer's block. I recommend this book to everyone of us who loves to read and learn the practices of writing poetry.

Magic City poetry series
Format: Paperback
This book was recommended to me to add to my poetry collection. It is a book that you can pick up and read a few poems and then put down to try to think of the meaning. It is written very well. Just takes a bit of thinking to understand.
