Here we have something a little different – a 1980s Aria Pro II Excel Series guitar that has been transformed into a hand-painted Ozzy Osbourne tribute instrument.

Originally an 80s Aria Pro II, the guitar was rebuilt and refinished by a previous owner, featuring custom Ozzy artwork which has then been clear lacquered over. The result is a striking, one-off guitar that certainly stands out.

The guitar is fully playable and sounds great, but it should also be viewed as a custom tribute / art guitar as much as a standard production instrument.

Condition

Please note this is not the original factory finish.

The guitar has been hand painted and lacquered, so the finish is not perfect, and there are some chips and marks visible as shown in the photos. This is to be expected given the guitar dates from the 1980s and the nature of the custom refinish.

Overall it presents well and has a real 80s metal aesthetic.

The previous owner purchased the guitar in pieces and rebuilt it, fitting brand new pickups and electronics during the build.

Unfortunately the exact brands of the pickups and electronics are unknown, but everything is working as it should.
