First edition. The portraits by Lewis include Joyce, Eliot, Pound, Augustus John, Noel Coward, Nancy Cunard and Ezra Pound. Other characters who appear within the autobiography include Auden, T.E. Lawrence (a critical assessment of his work and character on pp. 241 to 248) and the Sitwells. An interesting aspect of the war and immediate post-war period.
