It embodies the timeless charm and spirit of those early Gretsch flat-top guitars while boasting a remarkably playable profile, given its price tag.
The Deltoluxe features a petite and portable parlor body shape reminiscent of vintage models, coupled with a convenient 24-inch scale length. Despite its compact size, this guitar delivers a tonal clarity and a throaty midrange, characteristics that have made parlor guitars beloved by musicians for generations. Its top features a black, gloss finish while its back and sides are left natural.
Its X-braced body is crafted from select lightweight laminate tonewoods, mostly sapele. The "C" shape neck is made of Nato, and surrounded with a tortoiseshell binding. On the neck, a walnut fingerboard features 18 frets (12 accessible), and a 12-inch radius. The frets are sized Vintage, and white pearloid dot inlays live between them. The synthetic bone nut measure at 1.69" wide.
Equipped with a Gretsch Deltoluxe magnetic soundhole pickup, this guitar offers versatile electrified acoustic tone suitable for live performance, recording, and experimentation with effects pedals.
True to its vintage-inspired design, the Deltoluxe Parlor features period-correct details such as a vintage-style pinned bridge, "G"-graphic pickguard, painted pinstripe purfling, and oversized dot fingerboard inlays: nostalgic touches that add personality and charm to an already remarkable instrument.
