Whether you have a small size cutting job to do or are taking a larger scale project to "GO!", this smaller size version of our most popular die ever is ready to roll! This pint-sized strip die may be small, but it will still cut up to 6 layers of fabric, making it perfect for cutting scraps and pre-cuts down into useable 2 1/2" srips and squars and for taking with you wherever you want to GO!

Cut Size: 2 1/2"W (6.4 cm).

Finished Size: 2"W (5.1 cm).

Die Board Size: 6 in. x 12 in. (15.2 cm x 30.4 cm)

AQ Cutting Mat Required: GO! Cutting Mat, 6 in. x 12 in. (15.2 cm x 30.4 cm)

How to Die Cut 2 1/2" Strips:

  • 2 1/2" Strips: Cut 5 1/2" wide strips across the width of fabric to cut two 2 1/2" strips. Fold into 10" lengths. Position fabric on die so fold of fabric is perpendicular to cutting blades and will roll through the cutter first. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 13 strips.
  • 2 1/2" Squares: Start with a 2 1/2" strip aligning it across the die board with the 90° guide line. Fanfold into 5 1/2" widths. Cut 14, 2 1/2" squares across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 182 squares.
  • 45° Diamond-2 3/4" Cut Side Edge: Start with a 2 1/2" strip aligning it across the die board to the right side of the 45° guide line.
  • 30° Diamond-41/2" Cut Side Edge: Start with a 2 1/2" strip aligning it across the die board to the left side of the 30° guide line. Note: You are able to get a full 30° diamond using the top and middle blades only.
  • 60° Diamond-2 1/4" Cut Side Edge: Start with a 2 1/2" strip aligning it across the die board to the right side of the 60° guide line

Why Quilters Love GO! 2 1/2" Small Strip Cutter Die:

  • The GO! Small Strip Cutter 2 1/2" (2" finished) die is perfect for both large and small quilting projects, especially when working with smaller pieces of fabric or scraps.
  • Unlike its larger counterparts, this die has a compact design with 2 strips across on a 6" x 12" die board, making it suitable for smaller cutting jobs and compatible with any GO! cutter.
  • Its small size makes it easy to pack and carry, making it a great travel companion for quilting adventures.
  • GO! Small Strip Cutter-2 1/2" includes ¼" seam allowances for easy alignment and piecing.
  • Cut perfect 2 1/2" strips, then use the angled guide lines to cut squares and diamonds.
  • Die blades are 11" long and are open at both ends to allow cutting of folded fabric, up to 6 layers at a time or easily cut 6 layers of scrap fabric.
  • Cut strips out of a variety of fabrics: cotton, batiks, flannel, fleece, Cuddle® fabrics, and more!
  • Free pattern downloads are available to get you started.

AccuQuilt Benefits:

  • Cut so much more fabric in less time.
  • Get accurate cuts every time -- No slipping rulers or mistakes
  • Easiest to use -- Simply place die on cutter, then fabric and cutting mat on top
  • Save fabric with Two Tone Foam -- Get more out of your fabric by placing it only over the shape you want to cut.
  • Safe to use -- No blades come anywhere near your fingers

Die Tips:

  • With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
  • Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle.  Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
  • Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
  • It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.

Very Informative, but lacking in one or two areas.
Format: Kindle
I'm disabled and need a better living condition. I'm already on the waiting list for S8 and have been for the last year and a half. The book is informative, but it lacks in some areas. The author seems to think that many on disability have the option to "physically move around" doing chores and visiting offices. I'm a disabled 53 year old man, homebound and just recently lost daytime access to my little truck, only available to me during the weekends and evening hours, and when I do have it, it's rare I drive long distances. I cannot even afford to ride public transportation and have no one else to lean on for support. Also he seems to think that buying donuts/lunch for the whole office is a way in... maybe it's a way in for those that can afford it.. but not for many. Other than that.. it's worth to buy the download of the book itself.

Can be useful for some.
Format: Paperback
This book is an easy read. I read it in one sitting. I found the information interesting, and not boring. Please keep in mind that everyone's situation is different, and not all tips will apply to you. I did find some points useful for future reference. If you're someone who doesn't know much about section 8 you would probably find this book helpful. Overall, I don't regret getting this book.
