Starting with its most basic, and perhaps most iconic, element, this Mustang’s striking double-cutaway offset body is formed from alder for an instantly recognizable and easily handled profile. Fender’s classic choice of alder acts as a solid springboard from which great single-coil tonality can leap with some quick riffs and chords. This model’s Modern “C”-shaped maple neck fits comfortably in hand, making for easy travels across the shorter twenty-four-inch scale length. Matched with a maple fingerboard measuring with a radius of 9.5” and adorned with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets, the playing experience across the entire scale is easily fretted, effortlessly accessible and endlessly exciting.

Sonically, this Player II Series offset comes alive with two Player Series Alnico 5 Mustang single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions. Imbuing the instrument with that overall distinct Mustang tonality, these two pickups can play with sparkling cleans and darker distortions alike to win over anyone’s unique rig setup. A 6-Saddle Strings-Through-Body Strat Hardtail bridge with bent steel saddles lands at the base end of this Mustang for solid playability while a synthetic bone nut and Fender ClassicGear tuning machines ensure stable tuning and intonation.
