EYE Hold is an exploration of what we hold in sight — and what becomes visible when we close our eyes and mouths and listen inward.

This original painting reflects a form of seeing that goes beyond the surface: seeing with the mind’s eye, with the body, with the skin. The figure appears composed of many eyes, yet the work is not about looking outward. It is about perception layered inward — how we sense ourselves and others when attention turns quiet and receptive.

Created through a layered mixed-media process, EYE Hold mirrors the way perception itself works. Some layers are dense and hidden, others torn open or sharply revealed. Certain areas surface more clearly than others, just as awareness reaches different depths at different moments. The closed mouth emphasizes listening over speaking, sensing over explaining.

This is a contemplative work that invites the viewer to slow down, soften their gaze, and notice what is already present beneath the visible.
