The Exponent 500 is a hybrid amplifier that features clean analog amplification and digital signal chain modeling to result in a powerful, dual-mode device.
After years of working to design a simple and clean bass amplifier, the team at Darkglass delivers on the concept with expanded functionality. The Exponent 500 features 500 watts of bass amplification power along with digital modeling hardware for doubling as a recording interface. For studios or the stage, the Exponent 500 has plenty of bases covered. With expertise in the area of Impulse Response technology, Darkglass and the Exponent 500 work together brilliantly with the Darkglass Suite app and its growing DSP library of digitally-recreated compressors, distortions, modulations, and preamps. The Exponent 500's audio interface capability is accessible through USB connection and features full MIDI control.
Connections on the Exponent 500 include an XLR DI output, a ¼" headphone output, and a speaker output. The Exponent 500 includes inputs for USB-C, five-pin MIDI, and send and return for its effects loop.
