In 2008, shortly after the worldwide release of the 2.0 TSI engine, Volkswagen of America commissioned APR to build the Stage III GT Turbocharger System for their SEMA concept cars. Successes of these concept cars lead to the first release of the APR Stage III Turbocharger System, based on the then available Garret GT turbocharger, and became a worldwide phenomenon. In the years since, APR has continued to work with VWoA, Volkswagen GmBH, VWVortex and BFGoodrich to deliver more concept cars for SEMA, Wörthersee in Austria, as well as other events around the world, while APR continued testing the latest in turbocharger technology.
With the introduction of the Garret GTX2867R Turbocharger, APR has raised the bar further and redefined the standard by which the VAG community measures performance, reliability, drivability and quality. Gone are the days of compromise where low-end response meant excessive backpressure, compressor surge, and extremely limited top end performance. True to APR's mantra of Performance without Compromise the days of shredding tires on front wheel drive vehicles are rapidly disappearing thanks to the new Gold Standard in ECU torque management calibration strategies only APR can deliver. APR's endless pursuit of perfection has resulted in the most comprehensive 2.0 TSI turbocharger system in the world.
The 2.0 TSI is completely transformed the second it meets an APR Stage III GTX Turbocharger System. Power immediately jumps to 423 horsepower with 387 ft-lbs. of torque on tap using 93 octane fuel on a completely stock and unmodified factory fueling system. Switching to APR's 100 octane race fuel mode, power shoots up to 458 horsepower with 409 ft-lbs. of torque all at the driver's command. This level of extreme performance is just a taste of the system's full performance capabilities.

Gumby is a hit!

The dogs LOVE their Gumby toys! Do I expect them to last long? Not with this dog. In fact, the dog pictured began chewing Gumby's arm off shortly after this photo and had to be redirected, given a chew, and the Amazon box to shred before trying Gumby again. However, if your dog is like my Boston and more gentle on soft toys then this toy will last a long time. Her Gumby remains fully intact and loved. So, if you're buying this, just know your dog's style of play and how they treat soft toys, then purchase with reasonable expectations. I knew my wild man would destroy this, he destroys the tough made stuffies, but he has fun doing it and you can't beat the $3 price.
Overall it's a cute toy at a good price. It's fun to play fetch with it in the house, but I wouldn't tug at it. Playing tug could rip it.

GREAT for small dogs!
Size: 6 inches - Plush Gumby
My Pekingese, Yuki, has tiny and shallow jaws. So, it’s tough to find toys she can hold, let alone squeak. But “Gumby” was a surprise, and a fast favorite.
The fur is pleasantly smooth, vs. dense. It seems to help. The front/back are somewhat flattened. That seems to help, too. The squeaker is strategically placed…. Thus, she can easily mouth the neck/head area, regardless of the arm placement to easily squeak away….
And what fun to twirl. I’ll grab an arm, and spin her in circles. It’s wonderfully stitched. Nary a worry about an arm coming off.
A truly quality toy…. Purchase for your wee one with confidence!

After a good scrub, the dogs love them!
Size: 9 inches - Latex Gumby, Size: 9 inches - Latex Gumby
These gumby toys are flexible rubber, and exactly what you'd expect for the price. I ordered three to replace two that had been gifts well loved by my dogs.
I read reviews mentioning smell, but wasn't really prepared for it when the package arrived. They all arrived zip tied to a paperboard backing. They all smelled like a fine fragrance designed for robots - like burning motor oil with floral undertones - and the zip ties were stained a sickly green wherever they touched Gumby. Initially, my dogs wanted nothing to do with them, even after a good scrub. I left them to air out in the shed for a few days and then ran them through the dishwasher (without cleanser!) and they were good to go.
My dogs love these toys. I know they're not going to last long! I know the arms will get yanked or chewed off first, and then the corner of Gumby's head will go missing. Eventually, his head will be ripped into tiny pieces and strewn about my living room. I know that, sooner or later (and probably sooner!), Gumby will be little more than a torso with weird square legs. And that's okay, because that means my dogs enjoyed the toy.
People complaining about a $7 flexible rubber toy not being appropriate for heavy chewers don't understand what dogs need, or what dog toys are for. Part of the satisfaction that chewing brings for dogs is also shredding. Dogs destroy stuff. Some more than others. It's what they do. No toy will last forever if it's used! But I have five dogs, including bully breeds and a Saint Bernard, plus two occasional visitors, and these toys have lasted longer than expected (even if their arms are off in minutes!)
The dogs in the pictures are 90 and 120 pounds, modeling both a well loved older Gumby and a brand new one.

Perfect for my terrier, he loves it.

Has to be one of my pups favorite toys. He loves having it thrown for him. It is small enough that my toddler can play with the dog. Very durable, it gets played with every day for hours at a time.
