Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz 2022 presents a deep, rich crimson with excellent clarity — the hallmark of premium Victorian Shiraz sourced from multiple elite viticultural regions. Named after the picturesque Mount Chalambar in Victoria’s Grampians, this is a wine with history and character in equal measure.
Aroma
The nose is enticing and immediately engaging — dark fruited blackberry and plum lead, with regional black pepper and spice from the Grampians adding complexity and a hint of flinty minerality that lifts the whole bouquet. Classic cool-climate Victorian Shiraz character, beautifully expressed.
Palate
Soft and plush with a fine, medium-bodied structure — blackberry and mulberry fruits marry seamlessly with complex spice, underpinned by fine, velvety tannins and a mineral texture that carries through to a long, elegant finish. Approachable now and built to reward further cellaring.
