The Rage RC LightWave 400BL is the ideal size boat for racing across your local pond or lake. A 2600Kv brushless motor provides fast, efficient power and the included 3S 11.1V 1000mAh LiPo battery pack provides long run-times. Like most other Rage RC boats, if the LightWave 400BL ever capsizes, the self-righting feature flips the boat right side up, so you can quickly continue to race. Plus, the unique built-in Multi-Color Hi-Vis LED light strips give great visibility in any lighting and provide differentiation so that you can easily race more than one of these new boats at the same time.

The LightWave 400BL is a RTR (Ready-To-Run) boat with a durable ABS hull that arrives pre-printed in a bright, unique printed trim scheme that stands out on the water. This boat also comes out of the box 100% factory-assembled with a 2-channel, 2.4 GHz proportional radio system that features a waterproof 9-gram servo for precise steering control and a control board with a built-in ESC for linear throttle feel. In addition to the onboard battery, also included is a powerful 800mA balancing charger with AC cord. Even the AA batteries for the transmitter are included, so you can be racing your LightWave 400BL across your local pond or lake within minutes of opening the box!

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
