The PRS SE McCarty 594 Singlecut electric guitar is a favorite among traditionalists and modern players alike, presenting itself as a budget-conscious Paul Reed Smith without sacrificing or compromising build quality and reliability.
Now available in a striking Turquoise finish, the SE McCarty 594 Singlecut of course features a familiar single cutaway mahogany body with maple top. The set mahogany neck features the PRS Pattern Vintage carve, paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard featuring a 10" radius and PRS Birds inlays, as well as 22 frets.
This SE McCarty 594 Singlecut model features PRS 58/15 LT "S" pickups. The "LT" designation stands for Low Turn, meaning these humbuckers have fewer windings than the standard 58/15 set, delivering vintage-inspired tones with lower output. Each pickup is wired to an individual volume and tone control, and each tone control includes a push/pull function for achieving split-coil sounds. Engaging this feature activates the inner coil of either pickup, resulting in a total of eight available pickup configurations or combinations.
In terms of hardware, the SE McCarty 594 Singlecut is equipped with PRS-designed vintage-style tuners, a dual-action truss rod, and the PRS Two-Piece Bridge, made of zinc and brass for excellent intonation and enhanced resonance. Lastly, a PRS SE branded gig bag is included for protection.
