The inclusion of FETs (Field Effective Transistors) is what allows this pedal to access the characteristic amp distortion. True bypass switching stops your dry signal being coloured though, so get huge breakup when engaged, and signal purity when it's not.
This pedal is essentially a comprehensive package that allows you to access every plexi tone from warm saturated breakup to untapped high-gain shred.

Classic crunch
Packed full of plexi character, the NUX Plexi Crunch deliver those iconic amp tones in a downsized package. The aesthetic is instantly reminiscent of the amps this pedal's tone is based upon. Utilising a straightforward 4-knob layout, this makes it quick and easy to dial in a wide range of tones and fine-tune your ultimate plexi sound:
- Master - Adjust the overall volume of the outputted signal.
- Preamp - Set the gain of the preamp stage. The higher the setting, the more distortion will be introduced to your signal.
- Tone - Alter your mid response. Get a classic mid scoop by lowering, or crank it for more prominent mids.
- Presence - Controls the treble response. Lower settings lend a darker edge, whereas higher settings deliver a brighter tone.
The enclosure itself is robust which immediately lends itself to reliable performance. This protects the internal components and can easily handle the rigours of extensive use, either at home, on the stage, or in the studio- make sure your plexi tones are never compromised.
