Van de planken uit de oude archiefkasten waar eens de contracten opgeslagen stonden, maakten we deze unieke serveerplanken. Planken die het verhaal vertellen van de vele artiesten die hebben opgetreden op Utrechts legendarische poppodium aan de Oudegracht.

Sommige planken dateren nog uit de tijd voordat het poppodium zijn intrede deed in het historische pand. Het oude stof is verwijderd. De krassen, deuken en kromming op de bovenzijde hebben we intact gelaten. Verder zijn de vuren- en grenenhouten planken mooi afgevlakt, gladgeschuurd en afgewerkt met natuurlijke druivenpitolie. Als je heel goed ruikt, lijkt de oude Tivoligeur er nog doorheen te komen... of is dat onze nostalgie?

Om Utrecht als podium voor muziek en cultuur voor een zo breed mogelijk publiek te steunen, gaat een gedeelte van de opbrengst naar Stichting TivoliVredenburg. Zo houden we samen de legacy van poppodium Tivoli levend!

Onderhoud

Een belangrijke natuurlijke eigenschap van (stads)hout is dat het ‘werkt’. Door je borrelplank goed te onderhouden voorkom je eventuele scheurtjes of dat de plank krom trekt. Maak de plank na gebruik schoon met een vochtige doek of handwarm water (dus niet in de vaatwasser). Droog de plank daarna goed af. Behandel de plank ook regelmatig met een natuurlijke olie zodat er geen vocht kan binnendringen.

Natuurlijke materialen

Al onze producten zijn gemaakt van natuurlijke materialen en daardoor één voor één uniek. De foto’s op de website kunnen iets afwijken van de geleverde producten. Het type hout is zoals vermeld, maar het nervenpatroon, de kleurtint en eventuele afwerking met schors (bastzijde) is altijd anders. Om houtverspilling tegen te gaan (en ook omdat het gewoon mooi is), zit er soms een knoest of kloof in onze borrelplanken. Om het hout in goede conditie te houden, behandelen we onze borrelplanken standaard met druivenpitolie.

Now what I was looking for
