Deze hoogstammige Malus 'Evereste' is een fraaie sierappel met een uitbundige voorjaarsbloei. Deze rode sierappelboom op hoge stam blijft compact en heeft elk seizoen iets te bieden.

Deze stam zal 160 tot 200 cm hoog zijn, hierna begint de kruin van de Malus 'Evereste'. Een Malus 'Evereste' hoogstam zal maximaal zo'n 5 meter worden. De piramidevormige kruin van de sierappel kunt u zelf compact houden. Deze sierappel op stam zal vroeg in het voorjaar, rond maart/april in een prachtige bloei komen te staan met spierwitte bloemen en in de top een roze/paarse verkleuring. De Malus 'Evereste' verliest zijn blad rond november en is winterhard tot ongeveer -15 graden Celsius.

Malus 'Evereste' op stam online kopen en combineren

Deze sierappelboom Malus 'Evereste' op stam zal geleverd worden in een potzak van circa 20-25 liter. De Malus 'Evereste' is leuk om individueel in een plantenbak te zetten, of juist in combinatie met vaste planten in uw tuinborder. Denk bij het combineren met andere vaste planten, struiken en heesters aan dezelfde gewenste standplaats in de tuin, kleurencombinatie en eventueel het aantrekken van meer biodiversiteit in uw tuin. De sierappel is onder andere zeer geliefd bij vogels. Wanneer u deze combineert met borderpakketten die bij- en vlindervriendelijk zijn, zal uw tuin een ware trekpleister worden voor insecten en vogels.

Standplaats en aanplanting van de Malus 'Evereste'

Deze hoogstammige sierappel houdt van een plaatsje in de volle zon, kan eventueel ook in de lichte schaduw staan, echter zal dit ten koste gaan van de hoeveelheid sierappels en de smaak. Vuistregel: hoe meer zon een vrucht krijgt, hoe zoeter, hoe smaakvoller. De sierappel doet het vrijwel goed op elke bodem, maar zal een zandgrond en kleigrond verkiezen boven leem en steen.

Wat te doen met uw Sierappels?

Een veelvoorkomende vraag is wat te doen met de sierappel van de Malus 'Evereste' . Alhoewel ze minder lekker zullen zijn, kunt u deze sierappel eten. Denk hierbij aan het maken van een compote of jam door suiker toe te voegen en te verhitten.

I don't know if I'd call the scent of this "bacon," more like rubber with a hint of bacon. It's very strong. I gave my dog one of the balls & put one in a cabinet where I keep his treats & a few other unrelated odds & ends. I now hold my breath when I open that cabinet b/c good lord, the smell. I'm tempted to just give that one to the dog too, just because it'll air out eventually & then everything else in that cabinet won't smell bad. My dog feels so-so about it. He'll briefly chase after it & chew on it, but loses interest in it pretty fast. My rather hyperactive cat also plays with it from time to time, as he seems to have more interest in most dog toys than the dog these days, so there's that. (Then again, he thinks a wide variety of random items around the house are loads of fun to toss about, so it's possible his opinion is to be taken with a grain of salt. Between the brief periods of one of these balls being chewed on & clawed at, it's stayed completely intact. I think if you have a dog who simply likes to play fetch or chew on rubber balls in general, this one would stand up to the task. But if you're expecting it to be greeted with the enthusiasm as a bacon grease covered ball might be - I'd adjust your expectations.
