Alle Velda vijverfilters zijn voorzien van speciale inbouw UV-C Units. Deze losse units zijn te gebruiken voor de Clear Control drukfilters,  Cross-Flow Biofill enGinat Biofill XL. De werking berust op ultraviolette straling, die de cellen van groene zweefalgen en ziektekiemen aantast. In korte tijd wordt groen water weer helder en is de vijver een gezonde omgeving voor vissen en waterplanten. Voorzien van speciale long life UV-C lampen.

Losse UV-C Units zijn verkrijgbaar in 9, 18, 36 en 55 Watt.

Het voordeel van de unit is dat alle zweefalgen en eventuele ziektekiemen worden gedood voordat het water door de filtermaterialen wordt geleid.

De UV-C Unit 55 Watt kan worden gemonteerd in de Velda Clear Control 75 en 100 drukfilters.
