Introductie

De Burmester Douro DOC Ensaio nº 1 2024 is een verfijnde en aromatische witte wijn die de moderne expressie van de Douro op elegante wijze weergeeft. Deze wijn combineert frisheid, spanning en textuur, gemaakt van slechts twee druiven: Alvarinho en Sercial.

Wat ruik en proef je?

In de neus aroma’s van citrus, witte perzik en subtiele bloemige tonen. In de mond levendig en strak, met verfijnde zuren, een lichte zilte toets en een minerale afdronk die fris en langdurig aanhoudt.

Druivensoort

Gemaakt van Alvarinho en Sercial. Alvarinho zorgt voor aromatische intensiteit, rijp fruit en een elegante structuur, terwijl Sercial frisheid, spanning en een minerale precisie toevoegt. Samen creëren ze een harmonieuze wijn met karakter en verfijning.

Serveertips

Serveertemperatuur: 8–10 °C
Serveer in een slank witwijnglas om de frisse aroma’s en verfijnde structuur volledig tot hun recht te laten komen.

Vinificatie

De druiven worden met de hand geoogst en zacht geperst. De vergisting vindt plaats op lage temperatuur in roestvrijstalen tanks om de zuiverheid en frisheid te behouden. Vervolgens rijpt de wijn kort op de fijne lie om extra complexiteit en rondheid te ontwikkelen, zonder het levendige karakter te verliezen.

Holes in brackets are not spaced for studs!

So the quality of this not great, but good enough and they look nice enough on the wall. However, the bracket holes are not spaced at 16" intervals. WTF? I'm not sure who designed this thing. The molly plugs that came with it look OK, but to play it safe I used a cobalt steel drill bit and made my own holes in the bracket. Easy enough with some wd40. My other pick with this is that the screws to anchor the shelf to the bracket are black and and very obvious... they should have supplied some kind of cap.

Good looking shelves and easy install - skip the included drywall anchors

I installed these shelves in a bedroom to get things off my dresser and some decor. Once mounted they look really nice. The black finish looks clean and modern and they blend in well with the room. Installation was pretty straightforward. The metal bracket mounts to the wall first and then the shelf slides over the bracket. As long as you take your time lining things up it’s a simple project. One thing I strongly recommend is not using the white plastic self-drilling drywall anchors that come with the kit. I’ve used that style before on other projects and they tend to strip out easily and leave larger holes in drywall. I used better anchors instead and the shelves mounted much more securely. The rest of the hardware worked fine and once installed the shelves feel solid and hold items well. Pros - Clean modern look - Easy installation - Feels solid once mounted - Good size for books or decor Cons - The small level included isn’t very accurate — use your own level - One of the metal brackets was slightly bent out of the box but straightened out easily Helpful tip: Use your own level and better drywall anchors if you have them. It makes installation easier and the shelves will mount much more securely. Final thoughts: For the price these are nice looking floating shelves that install easily and work well for light storage and decor.
