De Low Cut versie van de Makra Pro GTX– de Makra Pro Low GTX – is een aanloopschoen voor veeleisend terrein. Maar wat maakt nu eigenlijk een goede aanloopschoen? Multifunctionaliteit is een vereiste. De Makra Pro Low GTX functioneert op alle soorten terrein: van verharde paden, door bos en weiland tot hellingen met steengruis. Draagcomfort, stabiliteit en flexibiliteit spelen hierbij een belangrijke rol. Zijn lichte maar zeer stabiele tussenzool is gemaakt van PU en EVA. De oversized PU-hak zorgt voor een uitstekende demping , een verstevigende PU-schuimkeil in het hielbereik ondersteunt een ideale afrolbeweging. EVA in het voorvoetbereik maakt een secure plaatsing van de voet mogelijk en de exclusieve Vibram ‘Makra loopzool‘ biedt een uitstekende grip. Een kenmerk van de Makra familie is de geoptimaliseerde Ghilly-vetersluiting tot aan de tenen waarbij de veters door textiele lussen geregen worden. De voet heeft zo ook in het voorste gedeelte en in een halfhoog model een goede houvast en stabiliteit. Dankzij het waterdichte GORE-TEX membraan blijven de voeten ook bij onbestendig weer droog. Het Perwanger leer is robuust, ademingsactief en duurzaam. Een buitengewoon goede combinatie van materialen.

I'M AMENDING THIS REVIEW AND ADJUSTING THE RATING UPWARD! Though it took my dog a little while to adjust to how differently this ball behaves, HE LOVES IT NOW. I wish I could give you a sense of how enjoyable and comically entertaining it is to play with him using it. ORIG. REVIEW: Bought this for a little 8 lb. aggressive chewer who loves to play fetch. I initially bought the 2" Chuckit! Ultra ball previously. It is the most amazingly durable product I've found for this pup. Very firm, but not hard on his teeth. He's very quick and agile, so I thought he would like the eye-mouth coordination challenge of a ball that changes direction suddenly. I guess my only disappointment with the product is that the ball is hollow instead of having a solid core like the Ultra ball, so he doesn't enjoy chomping down on it the same way. The erratic bounce feature is entertaining, but the pup is a little skittish, so he was intimidated at first. He's warmed up to it, but not with the same enthusiasm as the Ultra ball. Having said all this, I don't fault the product for the rating I gave it. It is a quality-made product that performs as advertised. I just didn't anticipate that my dog would be less enthusiastic than I thought.
