Tegel van Makkum Tichelaar uit de jaren 1960 met een handgeschilderde voorstelling van een visser. Het ontwerp maakt deel uit van de serie ‘Tegelberoepen’, waarin ambachten en beroepen uit het dagelijks leven zijn afgebeeld.

De tegel is van keramiek en beschilderd in heldere tinten. Herkomst: Makkum, Nederland. De conditie is uitstekend, met lichte sporen passend bij de leeftijd.

Makkum Tichelaar is een Friese aardewerkfabriek die sinds de 16e eeuw actief is. In de loop van de tijd produceerde het bedrijf tegels en gebruiksgoed voor zowel kerken als woningen. Deze tegel komt uit een periode waarin Makkum nog veel handwerk leverde voor verzamelaars en liefhebbers van Nederlandse keramiek.
