Het werd in 1946 overgenomen door de legendarische wijnmaker en visionair John Daniels en werd in 1970 doorgegeven aan zijn dochters. In 1982 werkten ze samen met Christian Moueix om Dominus Estate te creëren. De wijnen, vooral die van de afgelopen 25 jaar, smaken naar een serieuze Grand Cru uit Bordeaux, maar bezitten ook de rijpe fruitkenmerken uit Napa Valley. Om specifieker te zijn: een Napa-terroir, maar met een Bordeaux-spirit.

Beschrijving: Parfum van viooltjes, anijs, truffels en lavendel, rijpe pruimen en hints van cederhouten borst, medium tot vol en stevig gestructureerd met zeer rijpe tannine, zwart en blauw fruit en aards.

Lekker bij: Ribeye, Côte de Boeuf lekker beide van de BBQ.

Leuk weetje: De eerste release was in 1983, maar door de invloed van de heer Moueix kreeg de wijn meteen internationale aandacht.
