BSF-larven zijn de larven van de zwarte soldatenvlieg en zijn een duurzame, eiwit- en calciumrijke voedingsbron.

Ze worden ook wel calciwormen of nutriwormen genoemd en zijn een populair alternatief voor meelwormen vanwege hun gunstige voedingsprofiel, inclusief een goede calcium-fosforverhouding en veel vezels.

 

Deze insecten worden gewassen, geblanceerd en daarna diepgevroren.
