Dupont-Fahn Auxey-Duresses “Les Vireux” 2024 is een precieze en elegante witte Bourgogne die fraîcheur, spanning en subtiele diepgang mooi samenbrengt. In de neus komen rijpe citrus, witte perzik, appel en een vleugje witte bloesem naar voren, ondersteund door een fijne krijtige mineraliteit. In de mond is de wijn sappig en rechtlijnig, met een mooie kern van zuiver fruit, frisse zuren en een verfijnde textuur. De stijl is helder en energiek, met voldoende ronding om aantrekkelijk te blijven, maar altijd met een strakke, minerale ruggengraat. De afdronk is zuiver, levendig en aanhoudend.

Vinificatie.
Les Vireux is een perceelswijn die mooi de frisse en kalkrijke kant van Auxey-Duresses laat zien. De vinificatie gebeurt met veel aandacht voor precisie en terroirexpressie, zodat het pure karakter van de Chardonnay centraal blijft staan. De wijn rijpt op vat, wat extra textuur en diepgang geeft zonder de spanning of het fruit te verdrukken. Het hout blijft ondersteunend en subtiel, waardoor vooral de combinatie van frisheid, mineraliteit en finesse opvalt. Het resultaat is een witte Bourgogne met helderheid, spanning en gastronomische inzetbaarheid.

Het domein.
Domaine Dupont-Fahn is een familiaal domein in de Côte de Beaune, geleid door Raymond Dupont-Fahn. Het huis is vooral bekend om zijn precieze en terroirgedreven witte Bourgognes, met veel aandacht voor fraîcheur, spanning en balans. De stijl van het domein is doorgaans eerder puur en verfijnd dan rijk of zwaar, met een duidelijke focus op drinkbaarheid én herkomst.

Op vlak van duurzaamheid werkt het domein met veel respect voor de wijngaard en de bodem. De nadruk ligt op zorgvuldige perceelopvolging, lage rendementen en een aanpak die de natuurlijke balans van de stokken maximaal respecteert. In zowel wijngaard als kelder wordt gezocht naar zo weinig mogelijk overbodige interventie, zodat de identiteit van elk perceel helder in het glas naar voren komt. Die filosofie vertaalt zich in wijnen met zuiverheid, spanning en een heel duidelijke link naar hun terroir.

Great office space divider without being suffocating

This is a nice option for dividing up your office space. It's lightweight enough to be moved when needed, but large enough to create a sound and sight barrier between desks. Light commercial grade quality

This VERSARE hush screen portable divider appears to be well made and of light commercial grade quality. The lightweight aircraft aluminum frame and black fabric panel aren’t as heavy duty as the commercial grade steel panels of years past, but this panel certainly has adequate durability for home or office use. The sleek modern style is aesthetically pleasing, definitely appropriate for commercial applications, it doesn’t look cheap, or out of place. It’s freestanding and portable, with optional locking wheels, measuring 4’ wide X 6’ tall. The top panel is made of a clear fluted fiberglass, providing a window for natural light to filter through. I’m currently using it in my home office to partition of a separate workspace for my college student. It works very well for my purpose, I now have two relatively private workspaces in one office. It’s fairly easy to assemble, but the instructions could be more detailed and illustrative. One thing that I don’t like about it, is that the legs only slide in place, but they don’t bolt to the frame, allowing the legs to slide out of place when the panel is lifted up. The problem isn’t as magnified with the wheels installed, because the panel is then rolled, rather than lifted. It would be much easier to lift and move if the legs were bolted in place. But since I won’t be moving the divider very often, it’s not a deal breaker. Overall, I’m very pleased with the quality and look of this portable divider. At just under $555, it’s perhaps a tad bit overpriced, but still a reasonably good value. I recommend this VERSARE portable divider for home or office applications.
