Jackie Mulder is an artist who works with photography and mixed media. After a career as a fashion and graphic designer, she has been immersing herself in her ongoing project Thought Trails since 2021. Depicted as a journey that unfolds as the pages turn, the sequence and editing of the images invite viewers to enter another world, to marvel and create their own story.

Her work is collected internationally and has been exhibited at various art fairs. She combines photography with textiles, embroidery and drawing to create layered, tactile works of art. Her visual universe stems largely from her childhood, when she began drawing as a means of escaping a repressive religious household. Over the years, Mulder has developed a unique working method in which photography is the fertile basis from which a new reality emerges and in which she stretches the boundaries of photography.
