Wat is een RJ45 connector?

Een RJ45 connector wordt gebruikt om uw internetkabel te voorzien van een aansluiting zodat u deze kunt gebruiken om bijvoorbeeld uw laptop met uw wandcontactdoos te verbinden. Een RJ45 connector is vrij gemakkelijk aan een kabel te monteren met behulp van een RJ45 krimptang. RJ45 connectoren zijn verkrijgbaar voor alle categorieën netwerkkabels. Wat is het verschil tussen een STP en UTP connector?

Bovenstaande termen geven aan of de kabel geschikt is voor een afgeschermde kabel of voor een niet-afgeschermde kabel. STP connectoren dienen gebruikt te worden wanneer u deze wil monteren op een afgeschermde (S/FTP, F/UTP) netwerkkabel. UTP connectoren dienen gebruikt te worden wanneer u een niet-afgeschermde (UTP) kabel heeft.
