De FiiO M33 R2R en THIEAUDIO Hype 4 MKII vormen samen een portable head-fi set die duidelijk een stap hoger gaat dan de M21-combinatie. Waar de M21 al een bijzonder sterke, neutrale en volwassen basis biedt, voegt de M33 daar iets aan toe wat je niet zomaar in elke DAP vindt: echte R2R-technologie. En dat hoor je meteen.

De Hype 4 MKII is van zichzelf al een indrukwekkende IEM. Diepe, gecontroleerde subbas, een rijk middengebied, veel definitie en genoeg funfactor om muziek echt te laten leven. Combineer je die met de M33 R2R, dan krijgt het geheel net wat meer vloei, rust en analoge warmte. Niet wollig, niet traag, maar organischer. Alsof de scherpe randjes van digitaal luisteren verdwijnen en de muziek vanzelfsprekender gaat ademen.

Waarom deze combinatie zo goed werkt

De Hype 4 MKII heeft energie, detail en impact. De M33 R2R brengt daar controle, samenhang en natuurlijke textuur tegenover. Dat is precies waarom deze combinatie zo goed klikt. De IMPACT2 subwoofertechnologie van de Hype 4 blijft krachtig en fysiek aanwezig, maar de M33 houdt het laag strak, volwassen en beter geïntegreerd in het geheel.

Stemmen krijgen meer body, instrumenten voelen tastbaarder en het hoog blijft luchtig zonder te fel te worden. Vooral bij langere luistersessies merk je wat R2R doet. Muziek klinkt minder geforceerd en meer als één geheel. De Hype 4 MKII behoudt zijn funfactor, maar krijgt via de M33 een serieuzere, meer high-end ondertoon.

FiiO M33 R2R: de volwassen stap omhoog

De M33 R2R is misschien wel de meest allround DAP onder de €1000. Je krijgt Android 13, een snelle Snapdragon 680-processor, veel opslag, een groot 5,5 inch scherm, krachtige uitgangen en een volledig differentiële R2R resistor ladder DAC. Dat is nogal wat in een apparaat dat nog steeds compact genoeg is om mee te nemen.

Waar veel DAP’s vooral “schoon” en “strak” proberen te klinken, kiest de M33 voor een meer natuurlijke benadering. De R2R-architectuur zorgt voor meer rust, rijkere textuur en een soepelere presentatie. Dat maakt hem ideaal voor luisteraars die detail willen, maar niet dat klinische gevoel zoeken dat sommige digitale bronnen kunnen geven.

Met 1100 mW per kanaal via 4.4 mm gebalanceerd heeft de M33 bovendien ruim voldoende vermogen. Niet alleen voor IEM’s zoals de Hype 4 MKII, maar ook voor veel full-size hoofdtelefoons. En thuis plaats je hem in de Retro Box en verandert hij moeiteloos in een serieuze desktopbron.

THIEAUDIO Hype 4 MKII: emotie, punch en high-end detail

De Hype 4 MKII is één van die IEM’s die vrijwel direct duidelijk maakt waarom hij zo populair is. Hij combineert diepe subbas met een open middengebied en verfijnde treble, zonder dat het geheel uit balans raakt. De IMPACT2 Gen 2 subwoofertechnologie, afkomstig uit de Monarch MKIV-familie, geeft de Hype 4 een laagfundament dat je normaal niet snel in deze prijsklasse hoort.

Tegelijkertijd zorgen de vernieuwde Knowles-drivers voor detail, lucht en natuurlijkheid. Vocalen klinken vol en aanwezig, elektronische muziek krijgt punch en soundtracks krijgen breedte en schaal. Dit is geen saaie referentie-IEM, maar ook geen overdreven party-tuning. De Hype 4 MKII zit precies in dat gebied waar techniek en plezier elkaar raken.

Onderweg én thuis serieus luisteren

This Marsail executive office chair is excellent, and it brings together comfort, support and a clean professional look in a very practical way. The PU leather has a smooth, polished presence that suits a desk chair well without looking overly bulky. I appreciate that the design includes flip-up armrests, a height-adjustable seat, swivel movement and rolling mobility in one complete chair. The cushioning gives the chair a substantial seated feel, while the back design adds support without making the chair look heavy. It is an office chair that feels thoughtfully built for daily desk work, focused tasks and general seated comfort. The chair arrived securely protected and in very good condition, with the main parts kept in place well through transit. The PU leather surfaces looked clean, smooth and free from distracting marks when unpacked. The base, wheels, armrests, backrest and hardware all appeared properly finished and ready for assembly. Nothing about the chair parts looked loose, flimsy or poorly handled when it arrived. The included components were organized. The appearance of this chair is one of its strongest qualities because it has a dark, sleek and professional style. The chair fabric gives it a refined executive look, while the breathable mesh center keeps the backrest from appearing too solid or oversized. The flip-up armrests blend into the design nicely and add a cleaner profile when raised. The chair has a balanced shape, with a supportive back, plush seat and wide base that all work together visually. Comfortable for daily use!

After using this chair for work and general desk time, I think it does a nice job balancing comfort, adjustability, and overall build quality without feeling overly bulky or cheap. It feels designed for people who spend long stretches at a desk and want something supportive but still comfortable enough to relax in occasionally. Assembly was straightforward. The instructions were clear, the hardware was organized well, and all the holes lined up properly during setup. I put it together by myself in around 20 minutes without needing extra tools. Once assembled, the chair immediately felt sturdy and stable rather than wobbly. The overall quality is solid for this price range. The PU leather has a soft feel and doesn’t have the stiff plastic-like texture some office chairs use. The stitching looks clean, the armrests feel secure, and the rolling base moves smoothly across the floor. The chair also feels durable overall, especially around the frame and base where cheaper chairs sometimes feel weak or shaky after a few weeks of use. It's very comfortable. The seat cushion is thick and supportive without feeling overly hard, and it stays comfortable during long work sessions. I’ve spent multiple hours at a time sitting in it without constantly adjusting positions or feeling pressure points. The mesh section in the backrest also helps airflow a bit, which keeps it from feeling too hot during extended use. The lumbar support is great. Comfortable, easy to assemble, but no adjustable armrests

The Marsail Executive Office Chair Ergonomic Desk Chair with Flip-up Armrests PU Leather was an easy to assemble chair; I was done within 15 minutes with the included tool. Extra screws were included which was nice as the main pack had broken open and I couldn't find one of the primary screws in the larger box (my guess is I probably tossed it on accident with the packaging material) but had the backup so all was well. The instructions were well written and clear. I've now had the chair in my office for over a week. For context; I work from home and also am a PC gamer so I spend a sizeable portion of my time at my desk in the chair. I also live in the southeast US and its April when I am writing this review. With that said; its been in the 70s/80s regularly so feel like I can comment fairly on its performance in warmer temps; though I'll have to try and remember to comeback and update it for the summer season when AC is on full blast and humidity is higher (and the inevitable "swamp butt" sets in). In the first week I've found the chair to be comfortable to sit in. It is wide enough and the arm rests to the side enough that I can sort of lean left and right without much trouble. I like this wider seat and armrests compared to chairs with more narrow span as I tend to shift and move a lot while sitting. The PU leather material feels nice against my clothes and does "grip" the clothing which helps with my tendency to want to slide forward when sitting. At first I thought the "grip" would be annoying but I sort of like it after a week of using the chair. The cushion material is comfortable for sitting and rebounds well after I've been sitting in it for a long period of time. The armrests feature the same sort of cushion and PU leather material which makes them comfortable to sit back and lean on. For the price I think this is a solid office chair and a comfortable option. Longevity will only be tested over time so I'll see if I can remember to update this review over time. I am happy with the chair in my office. A few downsides about the chair that I have: - The wheels are very stiff and don't roll as smoothly as I'd like. They stay put when I am sitting at the desk but when I need to push away they take a bit of force. - The arm rests can't be adjusted for height. They are one height and can only be moved out of the way completely. For someone like who likes to lean or shift sides this is less than ideal as I'd normally make adjustments to the armrests. With that said it is nice to be able to move them out of the way completely when I don't need them. - Lumbar support could be better. I will be using additional support in the chair for my back.

Good for sitting on it daily. Not that soft as expected

I’ve been using this chair for a few days now and overall it’s pretty solid for a home office setup, especially for the price range. Assembly took me about 30–40 minutes alone and all the parts were labeled clearly. Nothing arrived damaged and the instructions were easy to follow, though attaching the backrest was a little awkward with one person. Once assembled, the chair looks clean and professional. The PU leather feels smooth and the cushioning is definitely thicker than cheaper office chairs I’ve tried. It’s comfortable for working several hours at a time, although I wouldn’t describe it as super plush or “sink-in” soft. The seat has a firmer feel, which may actually be better for posture during long work sessions. The ergonomic support is decent. The backrest follows the shape of your back fairly well and gives noticeable lumbar support compared to flat office chairs. I spend a lot of time at my desk and this chair helped reduce some lower back discomfort. The reclining and rocking feature is also nice for quick breaks between meetings or while watching videos. It doesn’t recline extremely far, but enough to relax a bit without feeling unstable. One feature I ended up liking more than expected was the flip-up armrests. They make it easy to slide the chair completely under the desk and also give more room if you like sitting cross-legged occasionally. The chair rolls smoothly and feels stable even when leaning back. A couple downsides though. The faux leather can get warm after extended sitting, especially in a warmer room. The mesh section helps airflow a little, but not enough to fully prevent heat buildup. Also, while the chair is comfortable, it doesn’t quite feel “premium executive” level in terms of materials. Some of the plastic components and armrests feel more mid-range than luxury. Overall, I’d say it’s a good value office chair with solid comfort, decent back support, and practical features. Great for everyday work or study use, just keep expectations realistic if you’re looking for a super high-end executive chair feel.
