Aangezien de chardonnay vrij licht en fris is, geven de druiven met 10% edele rotting voldoende ronding en ondersteuning om toch een 'dikke' witte bourgogne te zijn. In plaats van een botertoets heeft de wijn eerder finesse en op de achtergrond een hint van honing (niet zoet!). Zeer bijzondere krachtige chardonnay met veel finesse.

Vader Jean en zoon Gautier Thevenet maken ieder wijn onder eigen naam maar delen wel de wijnkelder.
Jean Thévenet, vigneron in de Franse “Mâconnais”, is volgens velen de beste producent in zijn streek. Deze eigenzinnige wijnmaker zweert bij het traditionele wijnmaken van zijn voorouders. Net zoals zijn grootvader plukt hij de Chardonnay laat en gedeeltelijk overrijp. In combinatie met lage rendementen, doorgedreven selectie van de druiven, rijping op de gist (“sur lie”) en een beperkte temperatuurcontrole (de natuurlijke isolatie van zijn wijnmakerij volstaat) geeft dit witte wijnen met een complexiteit en een body die je in de Mâconnais zelden aantreft.

Mixes my protein shake powder

My husband and I both drink protein shakes daily. We have vortex mixers that work great, but they are plastic and getting old, and really needed to be replaced. In an effort to reduce microplastics in our lives, I am trying to use less plastic mixing cups. Neither of us can believe the power this little thing has. We are getting smooth shakes! Here is what I really like about it: It is powerful and mixes well; the frother is metal and not plastic; it cleans extremely easy; after making several shakes the battery has not died; can be used in glasses, coffee cups, even disposable cups (when we buy donut shop coffee); and I love the little stand which takes up barely any counter space. Less plastic, less clean-up, dependable (so far), and small, making it convenient even for travel. I'm really glad I got this, and hope it will last. One last thing, do not turn it on while cleaning under running water. (Yes, you can laugh.)
