Antiek Royal Delft klein wandbord (1931) – J.L. Bitter – molenlandschap

Dit antieke onderplaatje van Royal Delft is handbeschilderd en gemaakt in 1931. Het bord is een ontwerp van plateelschilder J.L. Bitter, die tussen 1929 en 1945 werkzaam was bij De Porceleyne Fles. Op het onderplaatje staat een Hollands molenlandschap aan het water. Mogelijk is dit Zaandam.

Het wandbord heeft een geschulpte rand en is uitgevoerd in wit aardewerk met blauwe beschildering. Op de voorkant is een molen te zien, met riet, water en enkele gebouwen op de achtergrond. De onderkant is gemerkt met het logo van De Porceleyne Fles, de jaartalcode BA en de initialen van de schilder.

Het bordje is in goede staat met lichte sporen van craquelé, passend bij de leeftijd. Bekijk hiervoor ook de foto’s.

It works to divide a room, but it's not easy to use.

This comes in multiple pieces and you have to build every single piece including the cloth that is between the two poles. There are plastic clips to hold the sections together, but they easily come off if you move the dividers the wrong way or try to reposition it. The only thing holding it up is rectangular shaped feet on the bottom and they are a pain when you hit it with your toes. It works if you need to divide a room, but its not pretty and there are far better options. It's cheaply made and has a habit of falling down if you are trying to use it in a straight or slightly angled line.
