De ritssluiting is uitgerust met een kinbescherming en lange ritstrekkers die het gebruik vergemakkelijken. Voor het opbergen van persoonlijke items beschikt de jas over een ingezette borstzak met ritssluiting en twee ingezette zijzakken met ritssluiting.
De Castor heeft elastiek in de mouwuiteinden voor een goede afsluiting en een ruglengte van 75 cm in maat L. De vaste voering bestaat uit fleece in het lijf en polyamide in de mouwen, met een extra binnenzak voor extra opbergruimte. Een praktische eigenschap is dat deze jas inritsbaar is in verschillende Sioen-modellen, waaronder de 703Z en 708Z.
