De Dometic C18B is een compacte wijnkoelkast met twee temperatuurzones en ruimte voor 18 flessen. Met een geluidsniveau van slechts 39 dB en een energieverbruik van 150 kWh per jaar is dit model geschikt voor stille en efficiënte wijnopslag. De afmetingen zijn 82 cm hoog, 29,5 cm breed en 57,5 cm diep, waardoor de wijnkoelkast zowel onder een werkblad ingebouwd als vrijstaand kan worden geplaatst.

Ontwerp en design

De C18B heeft een moderne uitstraling met een zwarte afwerking en rvs-accenten. De deur is voorzien van drielaags glas met UV-bescherming, zodat de wijn veilig tegen licht wordt beschermd. Binnenin zijn houten leggers geplaatst waarop de flessen horizontaal liggen. LED-verlichting zorgt voor een goed overzicht van de collectie. De koelkast beschikt over verstelbare pootjes (82 tot 89 cm), waardoor hij altijd passend kan worden ingebouwd. De zilveren handgreep geeft de deur een strak en functioneel design. Het model weegt 30 kg en de scharnieren zijn verwisselbaar, zodat de deur links- of rechtsdraaiend gemonteerd kan worden.

Capaciteit

De Dometic C18B biedt ruimte aan 18 flessen van 0,75 liter, verdeeld over twee temperatuurzones. De bovenste zone is instelbaar tussen 4 en 12 °C, ideaal voor witte wijn of mousserende wijn. De onderste zone is instelbaar tussen 12 en 22 °C, geschikt voor rode wijn. Beide zones zijn afzonderlijk te regelen via een elektronische temperatuurinstelling. De vijf houten planken zijn uitschuifbaar en uitneembaar, wat zorgt voor gebruiksgemak en flexibiliteit.

Extra’s

De C18B is uitgerust met een dynamische compressor en een geïntegreerd luchtcirculatiesysteem dat zorgt voor een stabiele temperatuurverdeling. Dankzij het verwarmingselement blijft de ingestelde temperatuur behouden, ook in koelere ruimtes. Het koolstoffilter reguleert de luchtkwaliteit en de automatische luchtvochtigheidsregeling houdt de luchtvochtigheid tussen 50 en 70 procent. Daarnaast beschikt dit model over automatische ontdooiing, een deuralarm en een slot voor extra veiligheid.

Fantastic pillow for the price, adjustable is a different ball-game entirely.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with this. The fact that it is fully adjustable (adding or removing foam, and they give you a bunch extra) is a massive boon as I like pillows to be pretty low profile. It feels nice to the touch, and compresses nicely but not a ton like down. The memory foam that is inside of it seems to be combined with some kind of a harder material, it's all shredded so I can't tell what it is, but it seems like maybe plastic or something of the kind. Hasn't been an issue in any way, but was just weird feeling it when removing foam. I took a point off because there seems to be some false advertising going on. You can see in their picture that there is a tag that says bamboo side, the other side of that says cooling side. They also mention it in their advertising. As far as I can tell that is not true at all. The cover unzips so that you can remove the material so you can see that there is nothing on either side of it, and both sides appear visually identical to each other. Certainly I would NOT call this a cooling pillow in any way. It's maybe decently cool if you leave it in a cool place for a while, but over the course of the night warms up quite a bit. I did not notice any appreciable difference in the cooling of either side of it. There is a definite noticeable smell to it, but I wouldn't call it 'bad' like most memory foam things are when they come from the factory. It smells kind of like some kind of cleaning solution in a noticeable but not unpleasant sense. All in all, for the price this is a fantastic pillow and I would definitely recommend it.
