Een zeer aantrekkelijke, stijlvolle wijn met aroma’s van mokka, zwarte bessen, kersen en tonen van truffel. De textuur is zijdezacht met een fijne zuurgraad, een goede balans en zachte tannines. Het wijnjaar 2012 krijgt enkel lovende kritieken en is een echte must voor de Pomerol liefhebber.

Dit charmante kasteel ontleent zijn naam aan het torentje op het gebouw. Het wijnhuis werd aangekocht door Madame Loubat in 1917, toen zij aan het hoofd stond van Château Pétrus. Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix beheert het domein sinds 1962.

De wijngaard, met een gemiddelde leeftijd van 25 jaar, wordt gekenmerkt door de diversiteit van zijn bodems: kiezelhoudende klei op een prachtig perceel bij de kerk van Pomerol en kleiachtige leem rond het kasteel. De gevarieerde grond verleent complexiteit en harmonie aan de wijn. De gisting vindt plaats in betonnen vaten en de jonge wijn wordt vervolgens 16 à 18 maanden gerijpt in eiken vaten.
