Op ‘Dreamstate’, Kelly Lee Owens derde album, staat ook een heuvellandschap. Beduidend minder steriel, want met elektriciteitsmasten in diverse formaten en hier en daar een bosschage. ‘Dreamstate’ balanceert weer precies tussen dance en singer-songwriter in, waardoor het zowel een album is voor op de dansvloer of lekker op de bank thuis. Het is een spannende trip, die balancerend tussen die twee genres, een weg zoekt tussen obstakels als vorm, structuur en melodie. Als een heuvellandschap eigenlijk, elektriciteitsmasten incluis.
