Voor deze speciale kerstblend maakt de brouwmeester een selectie tussen enerzijds vatgerijpte Quadrupel en anderzijds jonge Quadrupel. De tannine uit de vaten vormt een harmonieus geheel met de rijke tonen van de speciale moutsoorten in het Quadrupel-bier. De combinatie van de smaak van de houtrijping en het jonge Quadrupel-bier zorgt voor een unieke en krachtige blend. Dankzij de hergisting op fles evolueert de smaak jaar na jaar. De kerstblend heeft een intense donkerbruine kleur. Afhankelijk van de herkomst van het vat zal deze rijping ook verschillende aroma's opleveren. Er wordt nieuw hout van Amerikaanse en Franse oorsprong gebruikt, evenals gerecycleerde vaten van whisky, rum, Bordeaux, calvados, enz.

My dad set mine up and luckily he had a bunch of his own so he switched them out with better screw anchors. Once we made that switch it was perfect, there was no wobble or shaking at all. So that’s my only piece of advice. Besides for the screw anchors everything else is perfect
