The Talking Heads spawned a number of worthy side projects and spinoffs— David Byrne & Brian Eno’s My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, Jerry Harrison’s The Red and the Black—but none were as funky, danceable, and flat-out fun as Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth’s Tom Tom Club. Conceived as something of a larkish break from the grandly realized intellectual and artistic pretensions of the Heads’ Remain in Light record, the duo’s self-titled 1981 debut was recorded in Barbados with Weymouth’s sisters and Adrian Belew and Steven Stanley from the Remain in Light band, and not only spawned a couple of hit singles in “Genius of Love” and “Wordy Rappinghood” but also became, in its own way, enormously influential. This was the sound of downtown New York talking, listening, and rapping to the burgeoning hip hop movement, a hybrid heard in a whole host of acts in the ‘80s and ‘90s, from Madonna to Mariah Carey to the Beastie Boys and beyond. Weymouth and Frantz went on to record several more albums under the Tom Tom Club moniker, but this remains the classic. For its 45th anniversary, Real Gone Music is proud to offer Tom Tom Club in a clear with green, pink, and white splatter vinyl edition that matches the album’s colorful cover and pays homage to its polyglot sound. Fun, natural fun, limited to 1200 copies!Shipping Notes

Piece of Junk
Style: ET-5150, Set: ET PRO FAX/ADF/PRINT/COPY/SCAN
This printer worked fine until about a week ago. It jammed six paper jambs in a row, and then it did not recognize the 8.5x11 paper that I had been using from day one. The copy feeder on top of the printer quit, and when it did work, it fed the copy in almost sideways. I have a box of ink for this copier, and I would like to shove it back to the supplier for the wonder piece BS equipment.
I have bought a black ink cartage for my nearly 8-year-old Brother Copier and my office is back in business.
Epson ECOTANK Pro ET-5150 is not ready for prime time by a cartage machine.

Great printer, save money on ink; Most issues are very easy to fix
Style: ET-5150, Set: ET PRO FAX/ADF/PRINT/COPY/SCAN
I convinced my boss to buy my first 5150 about 3 years ago and our second one earlier this year. I am happy with my purchase. I have barely had to swap out the maintenance box, and they are cheap anyways. The print quality is quite good, just need to run some cleaning protocols to fix most of them. We did have to open up a printer for some deeper cleaning but there were videos online to fix it.
The most common issue is paper jams, but I print a lot and its pretty rare if the paper isn't janky. You can also easily fix by pulling the printer forward and taking off a panel in the back to fish out paper.

Good value
Style: ET-5150, Set: ET PRO FAX/ADF/PRINT/COPY/SCAN
I think 3.5 would be about right.
I had a Canon color laser printer that I loved! The problem was that after 6 years it started to need name brand toner at $45/each. I decided to co for something that would print cheaper, because it turns out I don't print as much as I used to, so having a commercial printer is no needed.
I like the tanks a lot and they are super easy to fill. The first fill does not use a whole bottle, but then it settles and the next day you can top off the tanks with the rest of the bottle.
The print quality is good. I have printed a few hundred pages and it is working as it should, and the tanks don't seem to have dropped but a touch. Much cheaper than toner for sure.
The weird thing is that when you scan, it does not know that there is paper in the feeder, so you hear the flat bed scanner run first, and then the tray starts feeding. Also, it prints on both sides, but it does not scan both sides automatically with the feeder, you have to flip each sheet. This is a serious bummer for me as I do a lot of 2-sided scanner.
So far so good. If things go south I will revise.

18 months and going strong
Style: ET-5150, Set: ET PRO FAX/ADF/PRINT/COPY/SCAN, Style: ET-5150, Set: ET PRO FAX/ADF/PRINT/COPY/SCAN
Edit 1/18/26: 2 years in, and I just topped off the ink. I used the extra bottle of black that came with it, and bought a set of color ink for the first time. Love it.
Original: I’ve had this printer for 18 months and love it. I haven’t even had to refill the ink yet! I print a fair amount, not constantly, but I homeschool and print things for church and scouts also. I’m able to connect easily from my Windows laptop, Mac desktop, and iPhone. Automatic double sided printing is great. Color printing is good quality. Printing on card stock can get jammed, but there’s a rear bypass for that. It’s annoying that you have to do a single sheet at a time, but oh well. Copying and scanning is handy.
