In deze september-editie van Motoren & Toerisme blikken we met twee vergelijkingstests terug op een aantal modellen die eerder dit jaar werden gelanceerd. Mobiliteitsoplossingen verdienen ook onze aandacht en Mash tracht met de lancering van de motorscooters Belena 125 en 300 een woordje mee te spreken in dat debat. Silence beoogt hetzelfde, maar doet dat met een hoogst originele elektrische scooter met uitneembare batterij.

Twintig jaar geleden werd de meest exotische Honda en de duurste productiemotorfiets ooit gelanceerd. We kregen een uitnodiging om nog eens in het zadel van die Honda Valkyrie Rune te springen, en deden dat met plezier. Een andere ‘trip down memory lane’ is een route langs Vlaamse wijngaarden. Sinds de vorige editie van die tocht zeven jaar geleden is daar heel wat veranderd.

Maar we maakten ook verdere verplaatsingen. Samen met Chicane Classics trokken we door de Alpen tot in Slovenië. Met Harley ging we de 120ste verjaardag vieren in Budapest, en Kawasaki nam ons mee naar de Schotse Higlands. Onze wereldreiziger zitten ondertussen letterlijk aan de andere kant van de wereld.

Onze technische man werpt dan weer een blik op de motorhype van het moment: de paralleltwin.

Great Everyday Paper Plates for the Price

For around six bucks, getting 100 microwave-safe paper plates like this is a really good deal. Also, they’re actually pretty good quality. They can hold a decent amount of food and they don’t get all soggy or start dripping through the bottom halfway through eating. The soak-proof part is legit. Another thing I liked is the design. The white and green looks simple but nice, and they honestly just look better than a lot of the random cheap paper plates out there. I’ve been using them pretty regularly for quick meals and throwing food in the microwave, and they’ve been really convenient. I will say, if the food is extremely hot, the bottom of the plate does warm up pretty fast since the plates are somewhat thin underneath. Sometimes using two plates instead of one helps with that. Aside from that though, they’ve been excellent. For the amount you get, the quality is genuinely solid and they’ve held up really well for everyday use. Amazon Basics definitely nailed these. 100% would recommend them.
