Giallo dorato, al naso esprime una bellissima intensità aromatica grazie a profumi di albicocca e uva appassite, di canditi, di mughetto e grazie ad un leggero sentore di pepe nero e citronella. Al palato è ben equilibrato tra dolcezza e acidità, piacevolmente fresco e caratterizzato da una leggera sapidità, vero leitmotiv di un assaggio che chiude con un finale leggermente agrumato, di grande persistenza.In continuità con il Nozze d'Oro, il Conte Giuseppe Tasca festeggia nel 1994 i propri 60 anni di matrimonio brindando con il Diamante. La viticoltura dei vini dolci era tipica delle zone costiere, con caratteristiche di grande corpo e talvolta di pesantezza. L’intenzione era quindi quella di conferire al vino eleganza sfruttando i terreni situati in alta collina. La sperimentazione in cantina ha richiesto molto impegno, le produzioni iniziali non sono state immesse in commercio ma consumate solo per grandi eventi di famiglia. La prima annata disponibile sul mercato del Sicilia Passito IGT “Diamante” della Tenuta Regaleali di Tasca d’Almerita è stata quella del 2003. Dall'unione di uve moscato e traminer aromatico appassite all'ombra per preservare tutti i profumi tipici delle uve è nato un vino dolce e suadente, caratterizzato da note di fiori bianchi, e arancia candita su un fondo di rosa gialla e miele di zagara. Sussurrata dolcezza frammista ad una lunga scia di acidità, in perfetta armonia.
A fine pasto, ben si abbina alla pasticceria secca.

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters.
That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception.
SPOILER:
The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured.
I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action

This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4.
Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down.
There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books.
The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.

Good read
Format: Kindle
The book has some good twists and turns, but truthfully I was so confused on some things. It didn't have a good flow for me personally. Not sure if it's due to typos or using him/her wrongly, but I thought Kelly was both a guy and a girl. Actually I still don't know, and it made me incredibly frustrated. It would refer to Kelley as him or he, and then again in another part of the story as her she and sister. On to the next book, I hope there is some clarity and a smoother flow. This is a slow burn, and I just don't know how much I care for the Alphas yet. Idk if I recommend.
