De tijm en de althea hebben zowel een verzachtend effect op de keel als de luchtwegen. Deze
werking is vooral toe te schrijven aan de verdikkende substantie die in het vloeibare extract van de althea wortel voorkomt. Deze zal zich aan het geïrriteerde slijmvlies hechten en zo voor verlichting van de hoestklachten geven.
Is van toepassing op zowel een productieve en niet productieve hoest (kriebelhoest) die vooral in de nacht voorkomt.
Waarvoor wordt dit middel gebruikt
Hoestdrank Althea & Tijm is een medisch hulpmiddel klasse 1 en wordt toegepast bij elke vorm van hoest en heeft een verlichtende en weldadige werking voor keel en luchtwegen
Aanwijzingen voor gebruik
• Kinderen van 3 tot 6 jaar: 3 tot 4x daags 5 milliliter = 1 theelepel
• Kinderen van 6 tot 12 jaar: 4 tot 6x daags 7,5 milliliter = 1 paplepel
• Kinderen > 12 jaar en Volwassenen: 4 tot 6x daags 15 milliliter = 1 eetlepel
• niet langer dan 14 dagen gebruiken zonder een arts te raadplegen
• behalve als uw arts anders heeft voorgeschreven.
Contra-indicaties
• als u bij een eerder gebruik van middelen met tijm en/of althea (heemstwortel) of een ander lidvan de lipbloemigen familie overgevoeligheidsreacties heeft gehad, zoals huiduitslag.
• als u overgevoeligheidsreacties heeft gehad voor een van de andere stoffen in dit middel
• als u suikerziekte heeft, omdat deze siroop veel suiker bevat.
• het gebruik bij kinderen jonger dan 3 jaar is niet aanbevolen.
• bij ernstige leveraandoening of nieraandoening. Raadpleeg dan uw arts.
• Gebruik tijdens de zwangerschap is niet aanbevolen omdat er onvoldoende gegevens bekend zijn.
• Het gebruik van dit middel wordt niet aanbevolen tijdens het geven van borstvoeding.
Bestanddelen
Werkzame stoffen: • vloeibaar extract van de tijmplant (overeenkomend met 1200 mg/15 ml gedroogd tijmkruid) • vloeibaar extract van de heemstwortel (Althea) (overeenkomend met 64 mg/15 ml gedroogd heemstwortel) Hulpstoffen: suiker, natriumbenzoaat, kaliumsorbaat, citroenzuur en gezuiverd water
Bewaaradvies
Sluit de fles na gebruik goed af. Dit voorkomt bederf. Bewaar de hoestdrank buiten invloed van
zonlicht bij kamertemperatuur. De hoestdrank is na openen nog 6 maanden houdbaar of als de fles
ongeopend is tot de datum die op het etiket is vermeld.

Entertaining read
Format: Kindle
I wanted to educate myself on some of the issues that are presented in this book. If you're looking for just factual case-law and supreme court decisions this is not the book you're looking for. This book presents the cases in a story and gives a lot of detail about what went on in the lives of the people involved in these lawsuits outside of the courtroom. The only thing that I wish would have been talked about in greater detail would be a more in-depth look at the opinions and reasons from the justices that were not voting in favor of the plaintiffs.

Excellent Details
Format: Kindle
If you're like me, you've probably either never heard of these cases or heard about them in only the broadest of strokes. For remedying that, this book is excellent. Thomas provides a detailed account of how these complaints came to be, how they wended their way through the cases, and why they are important in terms of outcome and legal precedent. This is a book that I'm glad to have read and one that I would highly recommend to others.

engrossing, revealing, shocking, fascinating -- 10 gritty women who won big cases at great personal loss
Format: Kindle
Thankfully, women no longer have to pay more for retirement plans, and get lower payouts, than men. Amazing how many different, inventive the ways were in the 1960's to keep women out of jobs. Bless Title VII and the attorneys and clients who fought these battles; we stand on their shoulders. The saddest part is the update, at the end of the book showing how protections against gender discrimination in the workplace have weakened in recent years. In particular, it has become difficult, or nearly impossible, to prove that a hostile work environment exists so long as employers pay lip service to certain ideas and practices and hide what's really going on--which we working women KNOW still goes on, unfortunately.

Amazing look behind the scenes at the people (plaintiffs and lawyers) who made equality for women at work a reality. Compelling, heartwarming, and educational - should be required reading for anyone who holds a job in 21st century America - both to learn how far we've come and to see the ways in which we need to continue the fight for equality at work.
