Simpelweg om van te genieten zonder dat er gelijk een groots en stevig vleesmaal aan vast hoeft te zitten. De wijn is zacht en zeer verteerbaar met rijpe kersen, een verassende mineraliteit en iets wat peperigs. Het zuiden van Italië staat bekend om haar zware dikke wijnen, hoog in alcohol. San Martino vormt hierin de uitzondering op de regel. In Vulture, weet hij diepe, gestructureerde wijnen te creëren die desalniettemin de finesse en elegantie van het koelere klimaat en landschap weten te omvatten.

Druivensoort: 100% Aglianico
In de wijngaard: Gaarden gelegen op 500-600 meter hoogte. Vulkanische bodem bestaande uit een mix van lava, as, zandsteen en rivierafzettingen. Gaarden tussen de 20 en 40 jaar oud. 1,5 hectare meer dan 80 jaar oud. Late oogst mid-oktober. Biologische landbouw met zo min mogelijk interventie. 
In de wijnkelder: Lorenzo werkt volledig inituatief met zo min mogelijk interventie. Slechts korte maceratie periode, enkele malen pigéage voor zo min mogelijk extractie, zo min mogelijk toevoeging van So2 en slechts één maal soutirage. 12 maanden rijping op Franse en Amerikaanse eikenhouten vaten. Ongefilterd. 
Keurmerk: Biologisch en vin nature

De liefde voor het wijnmaken zit Lorenzo in het bloed. Zijn ouders, voorheen schapenhouders, maakte na de geboorte van hun kinderen de omslag naar het wijnmaken. Het kleine domein in Montepulciano beschikte over twee hectares aan Sangiovese gaarden. In 1990 was de eerste vintage een feit en het domein groeide al snel uit tot een van de beroemdste in Toscane. Ook het aanzien en competitie onder de Montepulciano's maakte in korte tijd een gigantische groei door met de komst van grote, commerciële wijnhuizen, waardoor de familie ervoor koos het landgoed te verkopen. Lorenzo’s vader, Fabrizio, had al een langere tijd een fascinatie voor de Aglianico druif en de charme van het ruige landschap van Basilicata. Hij kocht er een stuk land aan, waar hij enkel 100% Aglianico verbouwd. Terwijl Lorenzo en de rest van het gezin in Toscane bleef, reisde Fabrizio heen en weer tussen zijn gaarden en zijn familie. In 2004 was daar dan de eerste vintage onder het huis van Grifalco.

Ook Lorenzo werd gegrepen door de pracht en charme van Vulture. Na zijn studie oenologie en viticultuur in Turijn en jaren aan ervaring in de gaarden van Fabrizio, besloot hij voor zichzelf te beginnen. Hij huurde 6 hectare aan 100% Aglianico gaarden in Venture (ondertussen gekocht) en verdeeld net als zijn vader, zijn tijd tussen de gaarden, zijn gezin in Torino en de 12 uur durende nachtbus.

Dankzij de bijzondere geologische en klimatologische eigenschappen van het gebied, kan hij het zich veroorloven om de stokken ook enige tijd met rust en laten én volledig biologisch te werken. De Venture is een vrij koel en droog gebied en ligt zo op 500 tot 600 meter hoogte waardoor de droge wind vanuit de Tyrreense Zee constant door de gaarden waait en potentiële ziektes weet te vermijden. De cuvée's van San Martino weten dan ook alle drie op volledig eigen manier het karakter van het gebied, vinatage en druif te vertonen en geven een nieuw gezicht aan zeer zuidelijke, Italiaanse wijnen.

The three travel everywhere together. Damian is out to right the wrongs of the previous generations of his family. He wants his daughter to be proud of her legacy and he will do anything to ensure that she has this opportunity, even if it requires lying, stealing and riding the fine line between what is morally and legally right and wrong. Tessa struggles with her growing feelings as she finds herself equally attracted to them all. As each man spends more time with Tessa and finds himself intrigued by her, each wants her for himself. These are three alpha males all vying for pole position in Tessa's heart. Little do they know, Tessa isn't interested in having only one in pole position. For her, it's all or nothing. Will they be able to give up ultimate control and learn to share? Authors Sasha Moon and Cassie Cole have done it again! This is an extremely well developed novel. Normally I am quick to determine the plot and the direction it's taking. If there's a mystery in a plot, I've usually solved it by 25% of the way into the book. The plot of this book was hard to guess, which is actually what makes this book so fantastic! I love the twists and the turns; the hint at explanations without actually not explaining much of anything at all. LOL It kept me engrossed and wanting to know what the heck was going on. The authors did a fabulous job of slowly dispersing tidbits of plot weaving intrigue and mystery throughout the entire length of the book. This book kept me focused the entire time I was reading it. I love that Tessa is a strong female lead. She isn't afraid to back down or ask questions when things don't make sense. She also has a soft side that just wants to be loved and to feel affection. She is like a mollusk, hard on the outside yet soft on the inside and in her heart. As much as she would like to trust, she has learned that you cannot blindly trust. So she asked questions. She watches. She tries to determine if her employer Damian is truly an individual that is upstanding and one whom she can trust with her life and her heart. The three men in the story are harder for the reader to get to know, especially Damian's character. The author slowly feeds you information with regards to their personalities, but even with the air of mystery surrounding them, there's something likeable about each of them. I couldn't help rooting for them all to get their HEA. This book is an absolute definite must read!

Not your average Billionaire's Nanny

A unique twist on a Billionaires Nanny plot. I was immediately drawn into the story and it kept me guessing on how it would unfold. The chemistry between Tessa, Damien, Theo and Nico was HOT. The spicy scenes were intense and everything you would expect from a Cassie Cole book. I had a difficult time connecting with Tessa. Some of her actions and unexplained entitlement to know everything going on around her seemed off to me but Theo was my absolute favorite.

Fun, Steamy, and Just Enough Depth

I liked this book — it was cute, short, and exactly what I expected from a quick Omegaverse read. While it doesn’t dive too deeply into character development, there was enough personality and backstory sprinkled in to keep the relationships believable and engaging, especially given the length. What I really appreciated was that the focus stayed on the main characters and their connection. The heat, the banter, and the romance were front and center without getting bogged down in unnecessary drama. It made for an easy, enjoyable read that flowed smoothly from start to finish. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. There was a teaser blurb at the end, but it isn’t up on Amazon yet — hopefully it’ll be posted soon so I can add it to my wish list.

Good But

A little disjointed at times, at least to me. This was about Lila (omega woman) and Harrison, Wesley and River (alpha males). The main characters were likeable, as was Lila's friend, Wendy. Lila finally wised up and left the alpha she had been with for a couple of years because he was an a-hole, who treated and used her horribly. She knew some, if not all, of the guys from college if I remember correctly. The guys had been looking for an omega to bond with for some time. When Lila saw Harrison again, the other two guys were out on a date with another omega but Harrison refused to go because he didn't like her. He saw Lila again and knew she was the omega they had been searching for. However, it wasn't easy for them to convince Lila of that because of the way her ex-alpha treated her. The sex was hot. There was one inconsistency. I could almost swear that when Lila first saw Harrison again, she told her best friend, Wendy, that Harrison was the lead for his pack. Then later on when she's spending time with River, she thinks he is the pack's lead. Maybe I read something incorrectly. All in all, a good story.
