It integrates four completely independent 3G‑SDI connections, each configurable as either input or output, effectively giving you the power of four separate capture or playback cards within a single low‑profile PCIe solution. This architecture allows simultaneous ingest and playout of different video standards, making it ideal for live production, video walls, media servers, or real‑time multi‑camera capture systems.
Supporting SD and HD formats up to 1080p60 with 12‑bit SDI quality, the card ensures precise color reproduction, low‑latency processing, and high‑grade signal integrity throughout the workflow. Its embedded audio support delivers up to 16 channels per SDI stream in both SD and HD, enabling fully synchronized multi‑channel audio operations without external converters. A dedicated reference input accepts Tri‑Sync or Black Burst signals for perfect synchronization in studio environments or multi‑device broadcast chains.
DeckLink Duo 2 provides broad codec compatibility, including ProRes, DNxHR, DNxHD, DPX, AVCHD, HEVC, XDCAM, and uncompressed 8‑bit or 10‑bit 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 formats, ensuring smooth integration with established post‑production and live‑production pipelines. The included Blackmagic Desktop Video tools. Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and Desktop Video Utility, offer straightforward capture, playout testing, and configuration on macOS, Windows and Linux systems.
Designed to integrate into professional editing and finishing environments, the card supports leading software such as DaVinci Resolve, Fusion, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Avid Media Composer and Pro Tools, along with numerous playout and live‑production systems including CasparCG, vMix, Wirecast, Tools On Air and more. Its PCIe Gen2 x4 interface ensures high bandwidth for multi‑stream workflows while maintaining system stability and low CPU overhead.
