In 1999 vormde de Symington familie een partnerschap om top douro-wijnen te maken met de familie Prats uit Bordeaux. De eerste Prats & Symington-wijn was Chryseia 2000, die op grote schaal nationaal en internationaal werd geprezen. Sindsdien zijn Chryseia en zijn tweede wijn, Post Scriptum, consequent verschenen onder de hoogst gewaardeerde Douro-wijnen. Chryseia was de eerste Portugese niet-versterkte wijn in de Wine Spectator's jaarlijkse Top 100 wijnen en is nu drie keer op deze invloedrijke lijst verschenen. In 2014 stond Chryseia 2011 op nummer drie in de Top 100, de hoogste ooit geplaatste Douro-wijn. Prats & Symington-wijnen worden gemaakt op een van de mooiste landgoederen van de Douro, de prachtige Quinta de Roriz. Deze historische wijngaard dateert uit 1565 en staat al lang bekend om de kwaliteit van de wijnen. De 42 hectare grote Roriz-wijngaard wordt aangevuld met de 23 hectare grote Quinta da Perdiz in de naburige Rio Torto-vallei. Quinta da Vila Velha, eigendom van James en Rupert Symington, grenst direct aan Roriz en enkele van de beste druiven worden ook gebruikt om Chryseia en Post Scriptum te maken.Volledige handmatige oogst voor de Chryseia Douro
Na de handmatige oogst rijpt deze top wijn maar liefst vijftien maanden op eiken houten vaten. Een deel hiervan is nieuw en hierdoor krijgt hij zijn bijzondere karakter. Zo kreeg hij maar liefst 94 punten van Robert Parker. In de geur heeft hij complexe geuren van pruimen, tabak, vanille, eiken hout en lichte zoetige kruiden. De smaak is vol en stevig en wij adviseren om hem te decanteren, veel zwart fruit in de smaak. Maar ook nuances van kruiden, tabak, vanille en zoethout.Shipping Notes

Our pup loves the cronch cronch!

I bought our 15 month old Coton several Chuck-It toys on an Amazon deal. He is incredibly playful, mischievous, and ball/toy obsessed, especially for anything that makes noise. He can also be very destructive so I love how durable most of their products are - they’re among our longest lasting toys and worth every penny. We have yet to take them to the dog park, but they’re a perfect size for sharing in play time. And they are keeping him busy at home - that’s a good thing.
He loves investigating the crunchy-cronchy-crinkly sound which is a nice change from squeakers. It can withstand his destructive chewing well-being, gentle on his little teeth. I love that. Chuck-It is thinking outside the box with a variety of balls to keep dogs engaged! I do worry about the crinkle plastic inside because it is accessible because of the air holes and it feels a little sharp. So this will have to be an at home toy so we can monitor his play.

My dog loves it!

This crunch ball was a Christmas gift for my 65lbs fur baby. It’s now mid April and he still loves it. He loves running after it and chomping down on it. It is still in good shape despite all the chomping it’s gotta . I highly recommend. He goes back to this toy agin and again! Great buy.

Our first babies favorite and longest lasting ball yet and he is fixing to be 7.

Toughest ball we have found yet. Our doberman loves Chuckit! Balls especially the crunch one. He spreads all the balls and toys we have bought but these lasted the longest. The crunch and the glow in the dark are usually his pick but he has several different choices.
