De thuisbasis van Weltevrede is Bonnievale, een klein dorpje aan de Breede Rivier. Lourens Jonker was de derde generatie die in 1969 aan het roer kwam bij dit wijnhuis. Hij had een wijnstudie gevolgd aan de Universiteit van Stellenbosch en had daarnaast bij diverse wijnhuizen wereldwijd ervaring opgedaan. Hij zag dat het terroir en het klimaat van Robertson uitermate goed geschikt was voor Chardonnay druiven. Een specifiek stuk wijngaard, genaamd Place of Rocks, had de beste omstandigheden. Het resultaat is een succes gebleken, want de Weltevrede Place of Rocks Chardonnay is tot op de dag van vandaag een geliefde wijn onder wijnkenners.Indrukken van Weltevrede Place of Rocks Chardonnay
Buiten dat de Chardonnay druiven van astronomische kwaliteit zijn, is het proces ook zeker vakwerk. De rijping geschiedt op Frans eikenhout. Een keer per week wordt er door het vat geroerd, zodat de gistcellen weer onderop komen te liggen. Hierdoor krijgt Weltevrede Place of Rocks Chardonnay meer rijkdom en diepgang. Zodra je deze witte wijn inschenkt, zullen, met name de chardonnay liefhebbers, meteen dorst krijgen. Een aantrekkelijke goudgele kleur verleidt je om je neus in Weltevrede Place of Rocks Chardonnay te steken. Het rijke aroma komt je neus meteen tegemoet. rijpe peer, gedroogd abrikoos en mango maar ook honing en hout. Neem een slok, en je zal verbaasd staan. Dit behoort met recht tot de top van Zuid-Afrika, met een weelderig smaakboeket van tropisch fruit, perzik, nectarine, honing, hout en vanille. Seems durable - but the scent is not the best

I don't know if I'd call the scent of this "bacon," more like rubber with a hint of bacon. It's very strong. I gave my dog one of the balls & put one in a cabinet where I keep his treats & a few other unrelated odds & ends. I now hold my breath when I open that cabinet b/c good lord, the smell. I'm tempted to just give that one to the dog too, just because it'll air out eventually & then everything else in that cabinet won't smell bad.
My dog feels so-so about it. He'll briefly chase after it & chew on it, but loses interest in it pretty fast. My rather hyperactive cat also plays with it from time to time, as he seems to have more interest in most dog toys than the dog these days, so there's that. (Then again, he thinks a wide variety of random items around the house are loads of fun to toss about, so it's possible his opinion is to be taken with a grain of salt. Between the brief periods of one of these balls being chewed on & clawed at, it's stayed completely intact. I think if you have a dog who simply likes to play fetch or chew on rubber balls in general, this one would stand up to the task. But if you're expecting it to be greeted with the enthusiasm as a bacon grease covered ball might be - I'd adjust your expectations.

My dogs favorite toy so far in two years

I use this with my medium sized dog. These are large for him but that's what I want so I don't ever have to think about them being too small or a swallow hazard. He has been through A LOT OF TOYS in the last couple years, but nothing, NOTHING has he loved as much as these.
His favorite used to be squeaker balls. Then his favorite was crackle balls. But he will gladly ignore both for this one. I don't know if it's the bacon flavor or what, but he go nuts for it.

Bacon? IDK but good stuff either way

What is there to say? they're giant 4" rubber balls from the Chew King brand which is very durable brand. The best part is they don't roll under couches, side boards, etc cause they're just big enough.

Tough Dog Balls. Bright Orange/holes for treats

I used to buy Starmark. But their balls got smaller and tore more easily. The color was green. I couldn’t find it when it was dropped in the grass!! Soooooo, I took a chance on this cuz it had holes in it and was bright orange. It is not scented at all or its bacon scent faded. The ball is for strong chewers. I’m a petsitter and I needed tough balls for my clients dog. Shipped quickly. Good price. Exactly as described
