Dit is de koningswijn van wijnhuis Cornarea, een echte krachtpatser gemaakt van de volledige Nebbiolo druiven uit het Roer gebied. De druiven voor deze Italiaanse rode wijn komen van de allermooiste wijngaard van Cornarea die slechts twee hectare groot is. Het is gestart door een echtpaar genaamd Piero en Francesca en een aantal jaren later kwamen daar hun zonen Gian Nicola en Pierfranco bij. Er worden wijnen gemaakt met de grootste zorg en precisie en dat proeven we ook terug. Het wijnhuis startte in het jaar 1970 en is bekend geworden door de witte Arneis wijn die voor die tijd helemaal was uitgestorven in de regio. Door veel wilskracht en souplesse is de Arneis weer helemaal terug en daar is de regio trots op. Maar om terug te komen op deze groot meester want dat is het, gaan we naar de linkeroever van de Tanaro-rivier want daar staat het hele kleine stukje wijngaard van Cornarea.Houtlagering voor de Cornarea Roero Nebbiolo
De wijngaard kreeg een docg-benaming (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) in 2005 en werd daarmee de derde Nebbiolo-docg in het Langa-Roero-gebied, samen met Barolo en Barbaresco. Voor deze rode wijn word enkel de Nebbiolo druif gebruikt die afkomstig is van de historische Cornarea cru, eigendom van het bedrijf en gevestigd in Canale d'Alba. Deze stad is de wijnproducerende hoofdstad van Roero, een gebied waar al sinds de oudheid Nebbiolo-wijn wordt geproduceerd. Het is dus de zogezegde "Barolo" van het Roer gebied, en daar zijn wij het helemaal mee eens. Na de handmatige oogst rijpt deze rode wijn maar liefst 18 maanden in eikenhouten vaten. Hij ontwikkeld zich tot een ware ster en de fust lagering ondergaat hij nog eens een fles lagering van 6 maanden. De flessen worden opgeslagen in de kelders van Cornarea en pas naar boven gehaald als de wijn in top conditie is.De beste rode wijn van Cornarea
Maak hem maar snel open want hij moet altijd even gedecanteerd worden. Tijdens het decanteren zien we een prachtige licht rode kleur met bruine gloed. De geur is complex, met een pittige toon en een balsamico indruk. Het bevat geuren van pruimen, viooltjes, morello-kers en zoethout. De smaak is tong strelend, veel zwart fruit met daarbij veel kruiden. Smaakvol met een elegante structuur en lichte tannines. Works great for daily use, just be prepared to replace batteries

I use this every morning to mix protein powder into my coffee, and it works well. It is quick, easy to use, and does a great job blending everything smoothly without clumps.
For the price, it’s a great little tool and has definitely been worth it for daily use.
The only downside is that I do have to replace the batteries fairly often, about every 3–4 weeks with regular use.
Overall, it’s a very convenient and effective frother, especially for the cost. I would recommend it, just keep extra batteries on hand if you plan to use it daily.

The BEST Frother!!! (with a ONE YEAR UPDATE as of February 2026!)

I absolutely LOVE this little gem of a product. LOVE IT!! I use this thing every single day to mix up powdered collagen into a latte. It is so much fun to use. Every time I use it I sing out loud, "Oh little frother....where have you been all my life??" Ha ha! My brother had one at his house that we used to make whipped cream from heavy cream and I was honestly amazed at how quickly 2-3 ounces of heavy cream turned into delicious whipped cream for our coffees (like less than 10 seconds!) My brother has the kind that rests on a little stand, but honestly I did not want that type because the stand seemed unstable and honestly, a PITA to have standing on the counter. I like that this one does not have a stand. At first I thought the battery was going to die instantly, because it slowed down at first when I tried the first few times. But, I figured out how to use it and the trick of it is to not submerge it too far down into the drink where the little motor will struggle to keep up. Instead, I move it around a bit, giving it little periods of rest towards the top of the drink where the motor can more easily whip the liquid around. I have had this several months and the original battery just keeps on chuggin' even with daily use. The speed is crazy fast and makes the milk froth up so nicely. My collagen gets mixed up within seconds. I am talking 3-5 seconds at most. This little guy is an absolute MUST for anyone wanting to mix up protein powder, collagen, powdered vitamins/quercetin (which is famous for being extremely difficult to mix into orange juice.) It works that great. I seriously just love using it so much and should have bought one years ago. It is rare to buy a product that is super reasonable in cost and turns out to work really well and be worth every penny. It is also very easy to clean--a quick rinse under the faucet or a little sudsy scrub and you are good to go for the next time. I sought out this particular brand after reading another customer's review of a different brand frother. She pointed out that this brand was head and shoulders above the other types she has tried and I believe she is probably right. The "ON" button is at the top so it does not get in the way or splashed with liquid or anything. I use this with other drinks too, like to mix lemon juice with stevia sweetener into water, MSM powder into pomegranite juice, and just regular coffee with half and half to give the coffee a more luxurious mouthfeel when I do not feel like taking the time to make a latte or cappuccino. This frother is seriously the best. I wish there was a different color to select other than black but it was not a deal breaker, obviously. I would 100% purchase this again if needed.
UPDATE, 02/21/26: I have now had this little frother for ONE FULL YEAR! And I am here to say that, in my humble opinion, it has won my personal award for "Best Product Purchased For Me" for the year 2025! I use this little guy EVERY day to make a latte, and sometimes multiple times a day to mix up other drinks, and he is just chuggin' along on the same battery as the day he arrived in the mail back in February 2025. Now my husband is hooked on it too. Here are the drinks we have used it for in the past year:
- whirling up MCT oil into coffee;
- mixing baking soda, water, and flavored stevia drops (it's an emergency stomach ulcer elixir that I drink sometimes)
- frothing up raw, organic cocoa powder with milk and sugar
- my daily lattes with collagen powder
- mixing up any number of liquid vitamin tinctures that I take with water
- whipping up a teaspoon of wheatgrass powder into 2 or 3 ounces of water for a quick shot
- as stated earlier, mixing thoroughly quercetin and vitamin C powders into orange juice
I am sure I have used it for a few other drinks but these are the ones we use it for the most. I stand by my original review and opinion. This is, hands down, THE BEST MINI FROTHER!! Congratulations little frother, on winning the award for being the best purchase for me in the year 2025! I will come back here in February 2027 with a brief update on how my little frother is working 24 months from purchase.
ANOTHER UPDATE, 05/26/26: The two double AA batteries FINALLY took their last breath on May 26, 2026. The original batteries lasted a full one year and four months (and someone has used it AT LEAST once per day, every day, without fail.) Two brand new batteries went in, and I guess it must be because the batteries are 100% fresh, but I swear that now this frother is working even better than the day I got it!

Great Mixer At A Great Price.

I purchased this mixer over 6 months ago. I use it at least 2 to 3 times a day to mix fiber into a flavored drink. It also gets used for mixing gravy and Chinese sauces. So from light to medium duty and no problems at all. One battery lasted over 4 months.
I did try an alternate wand mixer($15 to $20) with variable speed to try and slow the mixing down a bit. It's low speed(fast) was the same as this mixer so I sent it back and kept this one. In addition to being more economical the simplicity of the single speed should give it good reliability.
Lastly, if it gets damaged you're only out ~$7.00
