Uiterlijk en groei

Deze 'Berry Dazzle' is een compacte, laagstammige struik die ongeveer 1 meter hoog en breed wordt. Het heeft kleine, ovale, donkergroene bladeren die in de herfst naar rood verkleuren. In de late zomer produceert de plant opvallende trossen van diep roze, bijna paarse, crêpe-achtige bloemen.

Deze Lagerstroemia geeft de voorkeur aan een positie in volle zon en goed doorlatende grond. Het is redelijk droogtebestendig eenmaal gevestigd, maar zal het beste bloeien als het regelmatig wordt bewaterd tijdens droge perioden.
