It boasts industry-leading aerodynamics for reduced drag and peak race performance thanks to over three years of wind tunnel and track testing to optimize aerodynamics in various riding positions and lean angles. The KX-1 boasts enhanced peripheral field of view (92 deg and 210 deg) for unobstructed vision, and meets the highest FIM Standard. The interior of the KX-1 features a liner that has been expertly crafted with premium materials that lead in form and function.

The KX-1 Race GP motorcycle helmet is used in MotoGP™ and WorldSBK™ and continues to be adopted by world-class racers everywhere.

SHELL

The shell is made of TRICOMPOSITE fiber, a new composite that provides a lighter shell but at the same time harder and more protective.

The new composite is a mixture of carbon with different weight/breaking loads linked up with aramid resins that ensure a light shell but much more resistant to impacts.

The KX-1 Race GP is produced in three different shells: S,M and XL.

SIZING

Measure around the widest part of your head for proper sizing

Extra Small: 53-54 CM

Small: 55-56 CM

Medium: 57-58 CM

Large: 59-60 CM

Extra Large: 61-62 CM

Extra Extra Large: 63 CM

PROTECTIVE POLYSTYRENE

Internal polystyrene liner (EPS) in three sizes (S, M and XL) to obtain a better ergonomics and a variable density. This characteristic allows a gradual and progressive absorption of the power produced by the impact.

Even if the majority of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the external shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is crucial for the absorption of the residual energy.

Varying densities of the polystyrene allows optimization of the mechanical performance of the shell-polystyrene, ensuring the maximum level of absorption in all areas of the helmet.

VISOR

The visor is PC injected, anti-scratch, with variable thickness. Easy to remove. The release lever is made of a particular metal alloy that gives greater structure and positive closure to the assembly. The visor is also equipped with a “Racing Lock System” in metal alloy. The mechanism reduces the possibility of detachment in case of crash. KX-1 Race GP visors are prepared for racing tear off.

***HELMET COMES WITH CLEAR VISOR - TINTED VISOR NOT INCLUDED***

PINLOCK

KX-1 Race GP is compatible with PINLOCK® MAX VISION 120, the highest performing antifog system in the market.

VENTILATION

It is during the hottest Grand Prix that the most is asked from the rider, requiring concentration and endurance. Being able to count on efficient ventilation makes all the difference.

KX-1 Race GP includes seven air intake ducts which work in conjunction with a neatly integrated channel system, guaranteeing excellent airflow inside the helmet.

The hot air extraction is a marvel of aerodynamics: two submerged air extractors, working together with the rear spoiler create a Venturi effect over the exhaust ports, draw out the hot air.

INNERS

The cheek pads and the internal comfort liner can be removed, washed and replaced.

They are made of premium fabric with specific fibers that offers the following features:

  • Wicks away sweat from the head
  • Keeps fresh and dry
  • Light fabric, soft and breathable

Cheek pads are customizable and easily removable in case of emergency thanks to the quick release system.

KX-1 Race GP is prepared for the camel-bag hydration system (not included).

RETENTION SYSTEM

The chin strap is uses a double D-ring retention system enabling an easy release and secure system.

Must-Own for True Batman Fans
Format: Paperback
I own and have read all 3 volumes of these Batman: Black and White books. They're all good, and in order of volume, so Volume #1 is the best, by far. What makes them great (and I'm mostly referring to volume one, although these can apply to all volumes): - Large collection of unique stories, and the stories are short - about 8 pages, I think. So I made a habit of reading just one or a few stories at the end of each night, for example. There's 20 different stories! So if you're a big Bat-Fan like me, you're bound to like most. - A different writer and artist for each story. So, some of the stories you'll love, and some you might hate. But for the most part, I liked a large percentage of them. And when they're good, they're REALLY GOOD! And sometimes, if the story isn't that great, the artwork might make up for it (or vice versa). - The artwork! Again, a large percentage of the stories really do have fantastic art. It's a real treat turn the page and read an entirely different story with a completely different (artistic) take on Batman. Plain and simple, every huge Batman fan should own all of these books. Start with this volume.

Short Story Collection
Format: Paperback
This wasn't quite what I expected. It's a random selection of writers and illustrators all doing short stories that are just a few pages long. It gives you a deep appreciation for some of the talent many of these guys have and gives you many different perspectives on batman. Having said that, I have to be honest. Some of the illustrations were sub-par and some of the stories mediocre. A couple of the stories left me wondering if some of these guys had written batman anything before and others whether they were able to earn a living with their drawings. Despite that, there were many really good stories in here that are worth reading.

Like chocolate truffles
Format: Paperback
First off, this is a review of volume 1. I got several Batman graphic novels recently and get one out when I have a block of uninterrupted time for it. I thought that given the short-story format, that I'd leave this in the car and read one or two stories when I had a few minutes to kill. Sure - that's what I say when I get a box of candy too - just one or two at a time - make the box last for a month. LOL - I got going and finished the whole book in one sitting. The short stories are not all great, but even the weakest is worth at least three stars. Some of the others are wonderful. The most unexpected were the best: "A Black and White World" a Neil Gaiman story which features Batman and Joker in a way you've never seen them before, and "A Slaying Song Tonight" a Batman Christmas story.... who'd ever think of that? The art is varied - which is the point isn't it. Some I liked a great deal and others didn't move me, but each reader will have different tastes. I learned about some artists with which I wasn't familiar. I'm new to comics and graphic novels, so this was a great way to gain some exposure to some legends. A previous reviewer seemed to feel the black and white art limited the artists. I thought the short story format and the black and white art boiled the work down to it's most powerful essence. The stories didn't waste a word. The art didn't hide behind color. It was like each story was stripped down to the bare essentials. And no comic character is more natural for a black and white treatment than the Bat. It was like a film noir movie marathon! Volume One at the very least is a must-own part of any Batman collection. Highest recommendation!

Perfection From Start to Finish
Format: Paperback
Where do I start? Whats not to love about some the of the best writers and artists coming together in one book full of short Batman stories done in black and white? The story telling is unbelievable and the illustrations are so good you barely notice they aren't in color. This should be in every Batman fan's collection :)
