It's Good? to be Home

Captain Lazarus Lenkov has been a civilian for almost two months, and it's going great. Sure, he's working at an art gallery instead of flying planes. Sure, his brother is preoccupied with his new husband, his sister is busy with her new baby, and he's plagued by nightmares and his malfunctioning foresight. But there are good things, too. He's got a new car. And just today, he got hit over the head with a bottle and then stitched up by a cute neurologist. Who then rejected his advances, but you can't have everything.

Eli Sobel has never met anyone quite like Laz. He's smart and handsome in a scruffy way. He's also a mess. From the first time they meet, it's clear that Laz needs someone to take care of him, even heal him. And while Eli's a doctor, he's not interested in taking on any patients in his personal life. But Laz is funny and generous, and Eli can't help but get drawn into the investigation surrounding the attack he stitched the man up from.

There's bad magic afoot, though neither of them quite understands it. From a similar crime at a Minneapolis art gallery to dead bodies in Edina, Minnesota, each step of the inquiry seems to pull the two of them closer together. But when they finally uncover the surprising motives that tie the events together, will they be able to move past their history into an uncertain future together?

Lazarus, Home from the War is the fourth book in the Wisconsin Gothic series. It contains some spoilers for Troth, but can be read as a stand-alone.

Nice Everyday Watch
Color: Silver-tone/White
The watchband was a bit too big and no one seems to be able to take out a link. Other than that, it's an excellent inexpensive everyday watch

Great watch, terrible band. Had two of these, both bands fell apart within weeks.
Color: Silver-tone/White, Color: Silver-tone/White
I had one just like this before. Great watch except they made one very bad change in the band which makes them fall apart within weeks. They don't tell time if you have to throw them in the garbage because of bands that fell apart. I like it, a nice clean dial, works fine, and you can make it light up to check the time in the dark. But some idiot made a terrible design change in the band. The center 1/3" of band is not twistable and falls apart easily. I've had two of these; both fell apart within weeks. The previous similar one that I owned without this design defect lasted me many years.

its a simple watch
Color: Silver-tone/White
This was a gift for my 80 Y/O father, the numbers are easy to read and the date (Numbered day only) will have to be adjusted if the month is 30 days instead of 31. The wristband fit perfectly, so there was no adjustment of links. He has had it for a month now and forgot to take it off when he entered the shower, still works, but wont let that happen again. If it lasts a year I will be happy, it wasn't expensive for a Timex and the silver color looked like silver.

Time work watch
Color: Silver-tone/White
Inexpensive work watch, they last forever, the only complaint I have is that the band broke and I couldn’t find a replacement band, so I had it repaired instead , the watch works great.
