The development of historical science in Russia in recent years has been contradictory and ambiguous, began an active search for new epistemological frameworks, new directions of research that is gradually becoming more anthropologically oriented and interdisciplinary. In such a situation exacerbated the problem of reliability of historical knowledge is most clearly manifested through the growing interest in the study of sources and the special historical disciplines, which in Soviet times were underestimated and perceived solely pragmatic.
